Using a FireTV stick and just hit this error overnight/morning of 6-8/6-9 when I went to watch. Cleared it's cache nothing, reinstalled and managed to get the basic interface up but once I went and logged in right back to the loop. Worked fine the last time I used it late 6-7 early 6-8 and just started this issue.

Because there isn't a section for the Amazon app, replying here since it is the same issue.

July 2nd - the app for Amazon was doing this. Just kept restarting over and over. I tried clearing cache, clearing data, and reinstalling the app. Nothing worked.

I contacted support but got a response 2 days later . By that time, the issue had resolved itself. But now, it's happening again. Seriously frustrated and am not pleased with the late response time for a service I'm paying for. I bet it'll be another 2 days before I hear anything back on this and they'll just ask me if it is still happening. Ugh.

One month on and same thing again, and same experience as Joylia, except the support response suggested "linking your Crunchyroll account to VRV (http://vrv.co) and see if you're able to watch the same show from there."

Obviously, they overlooked the fact that I'M HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE ANDROID APP, NOT THE WEB VIEWER!

Oh, then theres the fact that VRV is region locked:

NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR REGION
VRV is the fan-first streaming service that connects the dots between anime, sci-fi, tech, cartoons, and more. Waiting for VRV in your region? Enter your email to be notified when it comes your way.

I'm having the same issue on an Nvidia Shield TV running Android TV 8.0 Oreo. Issue seemed to start after the update to 8.0; the Crunchyroll app gets stuck in a restart loop after attempting to log in. Clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, and using different VPN servers doesn't resolve the issue.

Started having this problem this evening. Was fine this morning. Tried clearing cache and reinstalling. It works until you sign in.

Did you try to clear data (not just cache) and deactivate the device on the web here /acct/?action=devices before reinstalling?

Removing all items from my queue seems to have solved this issue for me (using Nexus Player).

same issue - only logged in though. Changed IP, reduced my queue, etc. I have very limited time and last night I had to spent 40 minutes tinkering with it. Seems like an authentication/queue limit issue.

Regardless CR should respond. It is very disappointing.

Using a Vizio Smart TV. Remove titles from your queue and relaunch the app. It fixed it for me after multiple reinsralls, cache clearing for the app and the whole tv and numerous restarts. You don't need to wipe your whole queue but removing some and relaunching worked. I've been trying to troubleshoot this on my own for three days.

The only thing that worked was cleaning up my queue with like four to six titles removed. No more problems.

I've had this issue for months. No amount of deactivating devices, clearing cache / data, and reinstalling fixes the issue. Time may temporarily fix the issue, but only for a few days. This looks like a credential authorization issue as it only occurs when logged in.

I encourage those affected to contact crunchy roll directly, open a ticket, and request partial compensation since you can't use a service you're paying for. If enough people complain they might fix it.

Just started happening to me on my Nvidia Shield TV. I was just watching an episode, went to watch something else now it's stuck in this error loop. I've restarted, reinstalled, cleared cache. As soon as I login it errors out.
