Having same issue on shield.

Cleared cache, cleared data, still have to login every time (twice) to get it to work.

It's been like this for weeks, and with every app too - Android TV, iOS, FIre TV, Xbox, etc. Even when episodes do eventually play, the Queue isn't updated with the watch history. Apps are basically non-functional right now, only the website works.

Come on Crunchyroll, when will this be fixed?

Go to Profile>Settings>My Devices, and remove the device off the list that you're having issues with. Then close your browser and open it back up, and the error goes away. I did this on PC with the website (in my case, it was the PC that I removed off the list since that's where I ran into the issue), so I can't say for sure if the same thing works for the apps. I assume though if, for example, you're having an issue on a TV app, then if on a PC you go to that "My Devices" page and remove the TV off that list then it hopefully should fix it the same way (for good measure restart the app afterwards).
