No english subtitles for naruto?

Acting really weird for me too... I got English subtitles in yellow, with Portuguese subs over them in white. Tried in incognito, same thing, so not a weird cookie or cache thing. Tried changing my default language, doesn't matter... If I click one of the subtitle languages below the video, then that works, but as people said there's no English option. Tried it in firefox, and that's showing it in German now?!

Good timing too, was frustrated with something so I figured I'd just watch some anime before I had to go to sleep... Now I'm out of time and moved from frustrated to angry

Then yesterday it worked again, and today it's back to thinking I'm from the other side of the planet! Seriously, get your act together!

I'm joining the mob in the opinion on this new videoplayer... it's also missing a button to go to the next episode and it doesn't show times when you're using the progress bar (don't see the time until you click and it loads). This is a MASSIVE downgrade in usability, and these subtitle bugs push it into just flatout broken. Do you expect us to pay for this?

Edit: So I figured let's try the windows app then... "this video is not available"...

Im having the same problem starting yesterday. However, around 10 pm est the subtitles went back to normal and I didnt have a problem. Now Its back to the same problem. Basically, I have portuguese and sometimes spanish subtitles overlapping the english ones. Started happening with the new switch in video player.

with me i just got to Naruto season 3 and i dont even get the english ones, i could deal with overlapping as long as i can see but i only get foreign ones, the subtitles work for eveything beofre that but any episode in season 3 seems to have other subtitles... im new to crunchyroll and even naruto so its a bummer, im not even a rewatcher for god sakes and im paying to quit near the start?! im gonna eventually get through all the narutos but i have to start somewhere...

Literally my first few minutes on Crunchyroll after I saw all the advertising for it on Youtube videos and honestly? I'm so close to just deactivating my account. This is honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a site. I haven't even been here an hour and already the one show I picked to watch is unwatchable due to Spanish subtitles over the english ones. And from what I've seen around the forums there is a huge lack of customer service. Very disappointed

this is happening for one piece as well! This is the most infuriating thing ever.
I'm about to pull my sub over it.
This is downright autism and I won't stand for it.
No money from me. Not when I can go back through other means and it be more reliable than some shoddy shitty video player.

Supposedly Shippuden has english subtitles, I have also checked another site to see if there was the same problem but I couldn't even watch it on there. I have seen that it is a vid player issue on some other forums and that we should just spam support with emails till they fix it.

I'm a returning subscriber and I seem to recall that before there was a clear way for subscribers to contact an actual human being for support when videos don't work, but now I can't find anywhere on the site how to contact them... Maybe it's because I'm still in the trial? Account type just says premium member though. I wish I could go bother support with it, but does anyone know how?

And if anyone from CR actually reads this, it would already help a lot just to get a message that you're aware of issues and are working on it. Right now, all I see is a pinned message from 2014(!!) about site issues that have been fixed years ago. Honestly? This forum looks like you guys have just abandoned it.

Edit: Never mind, found it under crunchyroll.com/contact. Couldn't find a link to that until I went to my payment page, that does link to it.

It seems I'm now getting the old player again, and of course all problems disappeared. Wonder if they enabled the old player again while they work out the problems... I hope that's what it is, but then I see other people still posting about this problem, so no idea.

Just so you know the site usually is pretty functional. They have some server issues but these problems are only because they are switching over to the new player. It'll likely be resolved, hopefully sooner rather than later...

it switched to Spanish fo me after 173 epidodes! So frustrating!!!

Is there any way to just disable to subtitles? As the English ones in yellow seem to be under the other languages.
