That moment with Ash in top of the truck screaming Dino reminded me of Levi doing the same when he saw Kenny in AoT.

It was obvious that Ash was gonna get revenge on Dino but for Eiji to do something like that, I was surprised. Dino really wants Ash badly lol, but that ending scene to see Ash who puts a strong facade up to be crying, what an episode.

As a manga reader, I'm of the opinion it's often better to not say anything while an anime is airing...

But, man, MAPPA is doing an awesome job adapting this series!

Just expressing the love ♥

You know a show is good when you go out of your way to read the entire manga before the show finished airing.
The only other shows that have done that to me are Detective Conan, Made in Abyss, and Assassination Classroom (my favorite anime!!)
Now I get to add this one to the list.

Episode 4

Tough break for Ash there with Griffin dead and all he could do is hear the news from Max in jail. And to add insult to injury, Golzine has some of his men in jail with one of them somehow being his cellmate to beat him up, but Ash is a tough guy. At least he's getting out on bail, but nevertheless the bottom just fell out for him.

Episode 5

Ash is taking a shot at Golzine having a lead. Quite a bold move for Ash to go after Golzine, but of course it's too soon as he still needs to know what that drug was all about and why his brother was killed for it. As expected, Ash fails hard, but thanks to Max's timely arrival he manages to stay alive. So now, it's off to Massachusetts as Cape Cod is where Ash grew up for some clues. This show just continues to deliver on the storytelling as it goes to shows that Ash is determined to get to the bottom of this.

Episode 6

It's off to Massachusetts where they go searching for clues, and learns about the person who shot Griffin, Abraham Dawson. With his address being in LA that they decide to go there next seeing that returning to Manhattan would be too dangerous. Pretty much, this sheds some light on Ash's past as he began killing at the age of 8. Just when it looked like they didn't have to deal with Golzine back at home, they followed Ash to Cape Cod where they threatened his parents, but they get killed in the crossfire. One week later, they arrive in LA where for their next clue. Ash sure has it tough, and he has been living his life with death just around the corner there, and case in point seeing his parents getting killed was just a tough pill to swallow. It will be interesting to see what they find out in LA.

Episode 6

Now I think this was an important episode. We got to see some glimpse of Ash's life and how he became the person as he is today. Not to mention, it's Cape God, the same hometown that Ash grew up in.

Definitely felt like it bought more meaning to his character as a whole.

Also, I kinda feel like Ash and Eiji got closer as friends and they had some neat moments together as characters. I'm not surprised how well Ash is getting used to his civilian life again after being in prison. Didn't feel like he's changed much at all. Jim (Ash's father) also makes an appearance that I think is important as the way he treats Ash is quite cold.

Ash certainly has it tough. Losing someone important hurts. So yeah, that was a great episode. With all the stuff happening, this just keeps getting better.

I had the same thought. "Yeah, I know as a 7-year-old, you've been raped and all, but if some other asshole tries that, let him, but just make sure you charge him money for it."

Not sure you'll find that kind of parental advice in any child raising manual.

Episode 7

Now in LA, Ash learns that Banana Fish is the name of the drug that made Griff go insane, and examines all the components of it. And seeing how the Dawsons are connected to Golzine that as expected he has henchmen there waiting to take down Ash. One of them is one of the sons of the powerful Lee family, Yue-Lung, who is posing as Abraham's adopted nephew. I had a feeling something was not right there, and now the mafia has come for Max's ex-wife and son. Things sure are getting more interesting now that Ash is onto something, all while they continue to be hunted.

The whole scene with having Shorter being forced to betray Ash, its going to be interesting because hes his right hand man atm. Watching Shorter conflicted with his loyalties was rough to see, and don't kill Jessica so fast, we just got introduced to her badassness
