It's not only going to be on Amazon is it? I hope Crunchyroll finishes airing it, I'd like to see the end.

It's on Amazon exclusive in Japan only so I imagine Crunchyroll and Funimation will continue to stream it.

Not able to confirm definitively, but the fall season carryover is listed with a note "※ Amazon Prime Video" on livechart.me. The summer season listing did not have this note.

The 13th episode is also labeled as WEB13, which means it's not following the usual TV broadcasting schedule that CR mostly follows. The same goes for the first episode of Souten no Ken: Regenesis season 2, which will have its debut on Amazon.

Thanks for the info. I guess all I can do for now is wait and see.

Ohh nooo, Rachel's a murderer! Who could have possssssibly called this.....

Okay, in all fairness, it's more effed up than I thought because I didn't expect the threat to come into play in the actual murder for some reason, but still, I was calling this since the end of episode 1 and they've foreshadowed the heck out of it to the point of absurdity since then.

More interesting, though, is just glancing at some of the stuff in Rachel's room. Right off the bat, I'm seeing a bunch of fake eyes for Dolls, which is Danny's thing. And then there's these flowers everywhere, which is Eddie's thing. Then the first room randomly had a bible just on the ground as a big element, which is clearly Grey's whole thing. And I guess you could argue that the whole TV Reveal is Cathy's thing because her whole gimmick is that she's an eccentric attention-seeking televised personality in her tests??? Ehhh... maybe that's not specifically her, but this feels too intentional to be coincidence and it's exactly the type of thing I'd expect an indie horror game to do to tie everything together.

You should definitely take the time to watch it, especially if you've seen or played the game. The studio of the anime did a great job making an adaptation of it!

CR tweeted yesterday they would air this "last episode". Not sure where episodes 14, 15 and 16 will be aired.

Episode 13

And now, the circumstances behind the deaths of Rachel's parents is explained. Her mother and father got into a fight, and then they became so mentally broken. Her father killed her mother and tried to kill Rachel, but Rachel shot him instead. While Zack is having a hard time believing that crap that he was shown, it's not a lie. The last episode dropped a huge bombshell there at the end, and the circumstances of it is revealed here as Rachel is dead set on getting her own god. That was pretty disturbing to say the least, not to mention seeing Rachel turning on Zack after everything that had happened going to show that she's not as innocent as she appeared at the beginning.

Seeing some major resemblances between Zack and Rachel's dad, also seems like there's a lot of Cathy in her mom, too. So it seems possible that this might all just be a projection of how she interprets the trial and court process after the murder.

Zack is probably based on her father as a ruthless unforgiving monster, but someone who Rachel also sees as incredibly foolish in his endeavors for not sticking with the family. But since Rachel took up his violent tendencies, as she travels with her projection of her father, she grew to understand and accept him. He became her 'god' in the sense that he showed her the way to escape her situation through violence, just as he had done to her mother to end her suffering.

Cathy is probably formed from her love of stuffed animals in the form of someone who takes on her mom's darker traits mixed in with a desire to make her father (Zack) suffer for what he's done. But, since her father's violence helped her in the end, Rachel sees this as wrong and eventually takes a stand against her.

Meanwhile, Eddie is potentially Rachel's view of herself. He's what would be her logical side, the side of her that knows she wants to die even though her body instinctively fights on to survive. His main trait of flowers and grave-setting are based on Rachel's love of flowers and her newfound enjoyment of taxidermy. But, when put together, Rachel can't help but imagine her projection of her mom (Cathy) abusing Eddie just as her mother abused her.

And then there's Grey and Doctor Danny.... Danny's a weird case because, while exaggerated, he seems to specifically be the only one of these 'monsters' that existed as-is in reality, at least assuming the tape shown is real. But with the fake eyes we see in Rachel's room, it's possible that her encounter with him might have been exaggerated. Meanwhile, Grey seems to just be a straightforward representation on her religion-based guilt, but it's hard to say for sure about either of these people until we see more from this series.... At least, IF Crunchyroll shows more of this series.........

If Crunchyroll doesn't finish the main plot then I'll just watch an LP of the game and figure out the rest of things from that, but, for now, classic indie "It was all real" twists aside, I feel like I'm on the right track with this theory.

Maybe a little marriage counseling could have avoided all this?

Or rehab for Dad.

I think we had all surmised several episodes ago that Rachel killed her parents and that her home life was probably abusive, but seeing it played out like that was truly harrowing. I hope she didn't actually shoot Dr. Danny, only because shooting is way too good for him and I'd rather see his eyes gouged out with a garden trowel.
