Probably cells from other tissues and stuff. Just too many to have them all explained in one show.

I loved Osmosis Jones and this series is as good, so educational and cute.

Only I'd love to see, like in Osmosis Jones, is in whose body are they in, Like the kid on Osmosis Jones, gave it an extra educational and more meaning to the cells' job.

I appreciate it. I am still learning Kanji so apparently I should start reading up biology kanji for this show!

Maybe they're stem cells, since their purpose is undefined.

I figured the STEM cells were at the base of the tree? Maybe my imagination was BRANCHING out too far. Either way I am sure by the end of the show we will get to the ROOT of the origins.

Sorry... my son has been feeding me corny jokes so I couldn't resist.

Sometimes there's so much going on in the background I want to re-watch the series in slo-mo.

Now I'm curious how they'll justify bringing back Red Blood Cell and White Blood Cell. Once you're a scab shows over.

Maybe they go through some kind of reincarnation?

I think that they use a time warp. For example, if you look at the top left of each of these individual forum posts you will see things like

"Posted one hour ago , edited 5 hours from now "

Obviously it is a rip in the space-time continuum, probably the same one that the horse-girls in Umamusume came through

Then some of them should be brown.

They could be basophils, which release histamine and serotonin. So you might say they have a special relationship with palates.

I'd say most likely just non-descript "other cells" in the body-- i.e. background characters (モブキャラ). The show makes special effort to precisely identify the main character cell types (neutrophils, erythrocytes etc., and so far only hematolymphoid cell types) and the pathogens, but these guys are just called 細胞 or "cell."

It reminds me of an old Cartoon Network show called Ozzy and Drix. There was a movie too called Osmosis Jones.
