I haven't taken a philosophy class in a while, but I think this fallacy has a name.

It's the same reasoning that people use to try to convince themselves that "Desmond is Amazing" isn't child abuse & paedophilia.

In my defense, when someone on this sub forum uses an actual forum emoji they're usually being a dick about something. -.-

Explain how it's a fallacy? Snipping it out of context to make that statement does not an argument make.

Did you just seriously equate a cartoon you've never seen but don't like to child abuse and pedophilia?

That's your problem dude, not CR's.

I was specifically replying to CDK-Anime's statement & citing an example. It falls under two logical fallacies: Circular Logic, i.e., the argument supports itself & therefore doesn't require any justification; & moral relativism, i.e., two opposing ideas somehow alter reality to allow both viewpoints to be correct despite being complete opposites.

You used a clearly negative example which is obviously going to imply what you think of the current argument. As for the logical fallacies; I have justified the statement thus far so that doesn't apply. Which is why I pointed out that CDK snipped it out of context. The second also doesn't apply because again, there is context and an argument around the statement.

Had i merely made that single statement in a complete vacuum you might have a point. But as I did not, your follow up to CDK's comment reads as supporting him being disingenuous.
