How about no? I'm pretty sure whoever is attacking or trying to rob someone isn't going to wait for someone to unlock their gun safe. Oh, and don't bring up the "Just let them take your stuff" argument again.

Then this is going to continue to happen.
You guys choose to let this happen when you choose to not take care of your guns properly and secure them.
This is an issue many Americans have.

Do it your way ill be surprised how you work it out if you have kids they should have 0 Access to guns :)
Also the let them take your stuff argument is valid you get your property insured.

It's stupid to face a robber head on even if you have a gun if you have the option of avoiding the confrontation and staying safe you should do so.

But you do you just don't complain when kids and teens get guns from their parents and shoot people

Has anyone blamed video games yet?

I love how people blame guns and video games and not the Parents who give them access to the guns or the fact they had access to one.

That's a stretch too far. That would defy the purpose of having a PDW in the first place. It's enough to keep the gun cleared and the ammunition hidden and out of reach of your children.

it can be as simple as locking them in a draw so the children can't find them.

But hiding them is good also it just depends how much the child will look for them at the end of the day putting them in a locked drawer isn't a bad idea.

but you guys do like the idea of defending your own home despite the risk with it so i can understand why it might be a stretch too far as culturally you guys are very different from the rest of the world.

So im sorry for suggesting something that wouldn't work in your country haha.

Living in a country where a PDW is not needed / stupid to own i must admit maybe i am a bit naive in how locking them up would work in your country when i think about it since if you do have an intruder they would have a gun also.
