I started watching One Piece recently, but when I got to episode 53 all the subtitles started playing in Spanish. I already tried going into my video settings and switching it to English but nothing has changed very frustrating

I'm having the same issue, right after the new chrome update it seemed to change the subtitles. Not sure if it has anything to do with that. But it is very frustrating, can't even watch One Piece anymore unless I switch websites :'(

having the same issue as well. started on episode 41 for me of one piece. i've tried cleaning my cookies, using different web browsers, running a full Clean of CCleaner, disabling all my browser add ons, changing my default language back and forth and back again to english/default/english, even went as far as to restart my computer completely. anyone find a fix for this?

Either watch on a device (roku, ps4, iPhone, Android, etc) instead of a browser, or download an unofficial third party extension for HTML5 available in either the Chrome or Firefox/mozilla stores....

It's a known issue that they are supposedly working on, but no promised fix date.

My workaround is to jump over to VRV to watch the English subtitles.

Ok, but Firefox supports HTML5 natively, so WTF?

For anyone with Chrome having this issue, download the Crunchyroll HTML5 Chrome extension

Then, load the episode that you want to watch.
Click on the Gear icon in the lower left of the player window
Click on Subtitles
Choose one of the "Unknown" subtitles. One of them will be the english subtitles

It's unfortunate that there is no response from Crunchyroll on this issue. It's been VERY frustrating.

Thanks man that workaround does the trick for me. I was up to One Piece 131 when it started. And for some reason Naruto was in German haha.
