I like the new player, but it does not show the time when you hover over the bar, this sucks if you're trying to watch One Piece or other Anime with long recaps that you want to skip.

It's good to finally have a player that works correctly and does not bug out when you try to skip an OP, freeze when you try to rewind 10 seconds after missing some subs or just randomly crash in the middle of an episode for literally no reason.

Still having to use flash in 2018 was absurd, good to see Crunchy finally went with the times. ^^

I see the cursor now hides with the player, which is great, glad HTML5 player is slowly coming along, it makes CR a way easier recommendation to many people now. I'm also surprised you do not advertise your yearly sub more broadly everywhere, it makes it an easier sell for many people vs a monthly payment, especially when it's quite a bit cheaper than paying monthly!

One thing that would be a welcomed feature is the return of the option to turn auto-play on and off. Preferably a universal option but the previous local option per each episode from the last player would be nice, too. :)

It is very encouraging to see the Flash player being phased out in favor of HTML5 finally. ^^ I was just hoping the transition would have happened before Flash officially had its support cut. It's still a very welcomed change, and hopefully when it finally reaches site-wide adoption, I can finally drop Flash support from my browsers.

Hi there i just wanted to say that they are not trying to get money or anything. Did you notice that they had only rolled it out to 50 percent and are sorting it out manually? i have adblock plus and it showed up for me and was completely fine. please don't jump to conclusions.

I literally can't watch anything with this new player.
The video plays fine for a few seconds, but then the visuals keep freezing up, while the audio and subtitles keep going.
Granted, I'm using an ancient laptop, and my internet provider is probably throttling my connection to Crunchyroll.
But in any case, I suspect an option to buffer the entire video before watching would fix both issues.

I do like the new player as it's generally better, but I have to admit it's extremely frustrating not to be able to pop out the player and shrink it to an appropriate size and location whilst I'm doing other things.

Ever since the change, I've had to start watching my videos at a lower quality so that it doesn't pause to buffer every 10 seconds. This doesn't happen on other websites, nor did it happen on the old player for me.

Is there any way to switch back until it actually works for everyone?

*edit* Also, it would be great if the new player could include the time stamp above your mouse when jumping ahead. This is pretty important when trying to skip the intro...

*edit 2* Then there is also the fact that the mouse pointer doesn't vanish when the video is playing.

You broke the video player on Chrome... Still works on IE but seriously it's something you should fix. Pronto. Hopping backwards and forwards between browsers is a bore.

I have two computers at home and for some interesting reason one had the new player, the other one is still on the old. The old player works fine as long as I run it at 720p, 1080p hangs up and is no fun. The new player runs fine except for a couple of problems. The cursor stays on the screen unless I move it all the way to the right. Also I can't turn off the autoplay. I am running Chrome with Smart Block and nothing hangs up or freezes even at 1080p

I can say I have a gigabit connection, and the old player was just getting worse and worse. New one rocks, fast responsive, and cleaner quality.

Good job keep up the good work, very happy with this change.

I liked being able to drop down from 1080P to lesser quality. I have noticed that there is a lot of lag with this new player. I believe its because everyone is forced to use 1080P now. At least with the old player if there was heavy traffic on the site during peak hours I never had to worry about having to pause my show to let it load. And frankly I don't mind not having the higher quality picture. I never really had any issues with lag, or videos loading, But that could just be a personal thing. I don't mind the new player... the only issue I have is the new player doesn't make the mouse cursor disappear. The old player did. Even if you try to hide the cursor in the corner or off to the side, you can still see it and its ANNOYING...

Alright, this new player was working fine for me until this past Wednesday (9/12/18). It's not even loading. Not the episode, not the player.

The space on the page where there's supposed to be video is just a blank section. Here;

I don't understand why I'm having this issue. Since I've started having it, I had no choice but to watch on Internet Explorer with the old Flash Player.
