Updates On the New Crunchyroll Video Player

Ok this is nice and all but I never come to the website to watch my Anime that is what the App is for which you guys at CR fail to update it and fix all the problems error code messages. I'm on my Xbox ???? One and the app hasn't been upgraded since it's released date. Like it's so annoying that I put something in my queue only to pick the next episode. I can't go back 10 episodes or go to season 4 and ect... I literally have to search it up or go through all the Anime titles just to find it.

It would be nice to have some new features added to the app and being able to view every series you put in your queue without fuss.

I found out today that the NEW player refreshes the page after each episode ... that means that I loose my Full-screen every time an episode ends.. is there a fix for this or is it a known issue? I didn't see anyone mentioning it so would like any info.

Yeah and also is there a way to change the default size of the player so it looks like YouTube where on the right would be the info again? Like when it was that way with the old player on lower resolutions. I have to scroll down a little everytime I want to switch to fullscreen which makes the first problem even worse.

Wait, now all users get 1080p with the new player. Doesn't that defeat one of the points of having premium or plus membership?

You can click on the gear to show quality options.



Note that it's currently not possible to set a default quality.



The only quality option that showed on my gear was "Auto"

Any ideas on how to fix the issue?

When I use my Safari browser, Auto is the only quality option I have...




No idea how to fix it...I'll just use Firefox for now I guess.

Sorry, I forgot to ask before what browser you were using. Microsoft Edge has the same problem with only Auto appearing.

I'm really at a loss here, my account seems to have switched to the new player from today.

Issue is that I'm watching through the original Naruto and the new player no longer allows me to have English subtitles, it automatically sets it to Spanish without any way of changing it back.

I've tried downloading EditThisCookie, I've set the value VILOS_ROLLOUT to "7fc56270e7a70fa81a5935b72eacbe29_6", I've even made it read only and made sure that CR is unable to change it back to its other value, but I still get the new player and english subtitles still aren't available.

Great that flash is moving out. I've been using the unofficial html 5 player extension so far to avoid usinf flash player.

Only issue is that I get bsod after 10-15 minutes when streaming from crunchyroll now
All other streaming service works fine and can stream for hours and no bsods as long as i stay away from crunchyroll.
And i think this player overrules the html5 extension player which i had no problems with so i cant bypass this either. Will try force the flash player back in so i can bypass it with the extension and see if i still get bsods.

This sucks. I actually liked the old Flash player.

Beyond that, it seems officially dead as of this evening. Even with the supposed "50% chance" of getting the flash player after clearing cookies, I haven't been able to pull it back up for the last 20 minutes. I even tried to edit the cookie and it's not working now.

There's just so much janky shit with the HTML5 player that I don't want it until it's actually in a usable condition.

For Naruto you'd have to use one of the apps to watch with English subtitles for the time being, for example the Windows 10 UWP app for the PC.
