I personally doubt that adblocker would block the video. I use adblocker on most sites (Excluding CR cause I want to support the site that keeps me going by buying premium) and in my experience, I have never had adblocker overblock a page. It's much more common to see an ad slip by than for page content to be blocked. Anywho, CR might be experimenting with adding some special sauce to their HTML code to make the video appear as an ad but I haven't ever had a video fail to load with adblock on.

please please please give us back the time stamp when skipping seeking it is so frustrating to just guess where time XX:XX is. aside from that minor issue that should be fairly easily remedied the new player is awesome.

Grab the progress bubble on the timeline with your mouse and drag it back and forth. The position you are holding it, and/or moving it to, will display in the elapsed time value at the lower left, so you can see the time where you want to drop it.

Still no autoplay toggle? I'm having buffering issues lately during peak times as well due to latency, the allowed buffer is so short it runs out before it can resume downloading.

Not that I am arguing for it, but the 60fps software generates entirely new in-between frames. There's some up on youtube if you want to try it out.

FYI, Youtube doesn't do this automatically.

@nDroae I think the reason people want it (aside from fad) is choppiness due to a mismatch in screen update with the actual framerate of the displayed show. frame interpolation can hide this pretty well, especially if you aren't picky in the first place as headache inducing choppiness is worse than occasionally blurry subframes.

Anyone else having an issue with ads playing after the break? I just had episode 4 of JoJo interrupted 6 times after the final ad break for an additional 1-2 ads each time. There's nothing quite so exasperating as having a show stop every couple seconds to replay an ad you just watched.

i haven't been in here in a while but there is no longer and English setting for the subtitles, why is that? it only has Spanish, German, and Portuguese.

Why is closing full screen when switching episodes a good thing. I hate that if I'm binging a series I don't want to have to keep getting up to my computer to put full screen back on. Please make this an optional setting.

Hey.
I appreciate progress and all the rest, but surely testing and implementing the existing features that the original player had before releasing a new one would have been sensible?
I for one would welcome the return of being able to limit the default quality in my profile, rather than having to change it for Every. Single. Video. And, crucially, having to remember to do so.
I have the un-enviable position of having to use a connection with a hard data cap for both work and personal use (100gb/month, doesn't go far!). I'm sure there are others with this issue, not to mention those still using mobile devices to stream CR.
We can still change the default setting in the android app, however anyone using a browser is forced to re-set the quality every time from "auto" which will of course pick the highest available quality if it can. Being able to permanently limit quality to 480p means that I can watch 2-4 episodes a day and still have enough data left to conduct everything else required before my data resets for the next month.

Also, please return the "skip to the next episode" button.

Thanks.

Why is it that fullscreen acts different depending on how you open it? I used a black screen to avoid spoilers for anything, but if you open fullscreen with the button in the UI, everything is fine, but if you open it using the F key, you get the orange bar for your time at the bottom of the screen permanently and it's really annoying.

Can we also get arrow key volume control? I don't usually have my mouse right within arm's reach when I'm actually watching a show, so have to reach for it just to adjust the volume the tiniest amount is extremely annoying.

Why on earth would you think its a feature to send the next episode out of fullscreen? This is probably one of the most stupid and annoying steaming ideas i've encountered since streaming was viable. Did people really want this? What is wrong with them?

I would really appreciate if you let us turn Autoplay off. That's a MUST HAVE feature on every streaming site.

* Fullscreen mode will exit when switching between episodes.

How is this a feature? Why would I want it to exit fullscreen? If I am watching back to back episodes it is extremely annoying to have to switch back to full screen. Especially in my case watching on my living room tv. I have to find the wireless keyboard and scroll down on the page to reach the video controls.

I didn't have any of the other problems you are describing. I did have other issues with the old player. Mainly the video freezing and having to keep refreshing the page to get to start playing again. Though I think that was more related to the DDoS attacks on the site. Since they mostly stopped after the anti DDoS features were enabled on the site and not occurring at all with the new player.

The new player is functioning fine except for all the missing features and the not so functional ones. For example; why do I no longer have the option to set my preferred resolution as the default for the player. It always defaults to auto. This can cause my stream to suddenly drop to a lower resolution because it decided that the connection was not good enough. It is connected with gigabit lan to a 50Mb fiber connection. Any fluctuation in speed it detects is extremely brief and is the whole purpose of the video buffer.

Additionally please add option to disable autoplay.

Please please PLEASE do NOT escape fullscreen when switching between episodes!!! It is INCREDIBLY inconvenient when I'm binge-watching all the episodes! If this continues, I will no longer be subscribed to Crunchyroll. I've been paying for Crunchyroll for YEARS and this will be the straw that breaks the camels back. I absolutely hate this. I hook my computer up to a tv, or set it up on my table and sit back on my bed or couch to watch. And NOW I have to get up EVERY episode to make it fullscreen just so I can read the subtitles. (I have really poor vision and do not want to wear my glasses when lounging at home. And I can't even find my wireless mouse so I can fullscreen it without getting up.) Like, WHO even wanted this to be an option?!? Just hit escape! Or exit fullscreen! For these Crunchyroll episodes that are 3 minutes, 6 minutes, or 10 minutes long, this gets really REALLY annoying.

Obviously, I'm going to come across poorly because I'm highly irritated. I thought it was a problem with my sister's computer, drove all the way home to get my laptop only to drive all the way back and experience the exact same problem. What the hell. Come on Crunchyroll. Don't make me go elsewhere because I will. And I really like my Crunchyroll.

@NaidaInoa Oddly, on VRV, the player remains in full screen from one episode to the next.

I've been using VRV to watch CR for a year, because VRV has mobile offline downloads and it's easier to keep track of what I'm doing if I just watch with VRV all the time. It's not a substitute for CR's own site giving you the experience you want, of course, but it is an option, if you really don't want to leave. I made a free VRV account and linked my CR premium account; doing that unlocks the CR premium channel on VRV at no cost. I still use my CR queue to store shows I'm not watching yet, because the VRV queue auto-sorts and is therefore useless for that.

I just had the option to change or even disable subtitles on Radiant, may be rolling out the next version now. Silently of course.

EDIT: My mistake, there was an update to the original months-old post about it.
