Round of applause for Crunchroll. Replace the PERFECTLY functioning HTML5 extension for this slow-loading. I hope this monopoly gets destroyed. I cannot wait for the day this absolute pile of sludge website sinks into the void.

I want to mention that subtitles are no longer functioning for me; I tried a couple of different browsers, and Chrome in particular is struggling to even PLAY episodes.
It's frustrating to see an official streaming website function this badly.

*EDIT* It appears that ad/3rd-party blockers might be interfering with the subtitles. I don't understand why that would be the case, but that's something for consideration.

For some days, I have not been able to watch anime here. Decided to install the HTML5 Chrome extension and now it is being removed. How I'm supposed to keep watching anime here? When a click a chapter, it stays black and nothing loads.

Black screen means an extension you added at some point is now blocking functionality. Pop-up blocker, ad blocker, no script, anti-virus, ghostery, etc, something like one of those. Disable your extensions one at a time until you hit the one doing the blocking.

omg thank you I couldn't work out why it wouldn't work even after disabling ad blocker, but it was my popup blocker that stoped it!

On an older mac without a new os and the extension was the only way I could get videos to load (just white screen otherwise). Disappointed

So..I have tried everything. Cleared my cache many times, enabled ad and pop ups, still no new player and the only subtitle options I have are Spanish and Portuguese. Can't really watch anything without subtitles..what else do I do here?

Try a different browser? Try the win-10 UWP app?

Different browsers aren't doing the trick, but I'll give that app a go! Ty

Naruto episodes are unwatchable because of no english subtitles. Had to go to Netflix to watch now. Worked fine before with the HTML5 addon. Sucks to have to go to Netflix over a anime base streaming service for a show that is actually on your lineup.

Wonderful, you have now killed my desktop viewing, only options now are Ipad & a laptop which is a solid mass of broken drivers, nice going (total sarcasm).

why is it a feature that the player exits full screen between episodes? could we have an options that it stays in full screen? i like to binge my episodes and don't wan to keep clicking full screen when it switches. also a next episode or episode selection option would be nice on the status bar in full screen.

Because, rather than asynchronously loading the next episode via metadata and updating all of the relevant parts of the page with the data for that episode, the player sends your browser to the page for the next episode, causing the full screen to end and (in the case of firefox) forcing you to press the play button manually.

Basically they've written the hackiest of hacks to get autoplay kinda working and are not prioritising getting a functioning media player installed.

Also, for the love of all that's holy.

stop using window.alert and window.prompt

SIte performance has been absolutely abysmal for the past couple of weeks. What's going on over there? Why am I paying money for this? I'm dropping my streams to 480p, and they are still stop and go.

The player stops working. Every third or fourth episode at the same timestamp.
Can someone explain why I should be paying for this before I renew?
