(even though I quite liked the flash one to be completely honest, an unpopular opinion I know) {me->same}

On another note: 'Fullscreen mode will exit when switching between episodes' I guess there must be people that do for this to have been raised as an issue, but why would anyone want this? When you finally STOPPED this happening I was unreasonably ecstatic, if it exits fullscreen it means I have to get out of bed to re-fullscreen it every single episode... for those people that were always complaining about being unable to exit fullscreen on the 'next episode' screen, you know you could press escape, right? Or you could just wait the five seconds necessary and click the fullscreen button on the next episode?
yay like for real guys how can someone be unable to exit fullscreen as there are 3 ways to exit fullscreen one use Esc two if you move the mouse to the top of the video an [X] button shows up and three the same way you got it to go fullscreen

Well the new player has ups and downs. The ups are that the GUI looks much cleaner and runs even when buffering is not completed. The down side is it does not buffer enough so it stops and goes if not manually paused from time to time. Another down side is the encoding has taken a real dive over the last two years. Crunchy roll was the best for high quality 1080p content for many years when it rolled out on cite. Now it has taken a dive quality wise. ATT can do better and I wonder why it chose to make everything look mushy. If anything this corporate mash up should make things look nicer especially since most of the TV players are no longer supported. Encoding is just HTML 5 and that is cross platform.

i have tried deleting my cookies about 30 times. this is not cool. I am going to say this. so far I DONT LIKE THIS NEW PLAYER. Why should we have to jump threw hoops to get what we are already paying for. I have defended Crunchyroll against many hates over the years. I don't know how to do that against this. I cant get this to work and its been days. I am tired and now a little angry. I did find a way to watch it another way. But I hate their system. wont let me leave comments and talk to people on here. please for the love of all that is good and right. fix this fast. I wont keep doing it this way for long.

It's amazing how much hate is going around for a player that many have asked to be implemented for years. It's new, of course it won't be perfect right from the start. Suck it up and deal with it is all I can say. Flash is outdated, doesn't run as well as html5, and is soon gonna lose all support everywhere in barely a few years. You won't see flash anywhere soon enough.

Thanks for posting on how to get it switched again, I was sad that it got rolled back to flash for myself! Now have a working HTML5 player again. If you're going to be working in it for a while you might want to think about putting a "new player/old player" button on the page so you can avoid some upsets until you have the HTML5 player with all the features setup, think it should make everyone happy.

I wholeheartedly disagree. It SHOULD be perfect from the start because we've been waiting for it for YEARS. They've been sitting around doing nothing with their site all this time and instead focusing on new ventures that no one asked for. And no, I'm not just talking about High Guardian Spice. They made a deal with a cable network in South America. They keep having these big extravagant conventions. They continue to shove VRV down our throats. The only reason we even have this unfinished player is because people are now unsubbing en masse and they were desperate to stop it.

I also cannot fathom why they're making people jump through hoops just to try the damn thing. Why not do what every other site on the Internet does when testing new features and just let us opt-in with a toggle?

Then please show me a perfect html5 player, as I sure as hell haven't seen one on any site that has had one for a long time. No one is shoving anything, I've never cared about VRV nor any of my friends, so we haven't looked into it or touched it. You're bringing up speculation as far as I see unless you can show me some data regarding subbing or finances regarding the conventions. I'm not attacking you, but you seem to be really biased regarding this situation. I'm just talking about the technical situation.

Funimation's HTML5 player is pretty much flawless (though everything else about their site layout needs work). Don't know if Netflix is still on Silverlight or whatever, but theirs is good too. Amazon's is a little annoying with its Up Next pop-ups, but it works and has full subtitle customization. Youtube has the best damn player on the Internet. Crunchyroll could model their player after pretty much any of these.

And you're just fanboying if you think they haven't been shoving VRV in our face. They would have a huge banner up to promote it every time the site was down (which was literally every weekend until that overhaul a few months back). It's on the front page at all times. They've been writing articles promoting it every couple days. ( one popped up while I was preparing this response).

And I don't need to provide information on this stuff. It is a FACT that they have the money to do all of these things, so there is no reason for them to not use some of it to fix the site and apps. You cannot tell me that funding a cartoon is cheaper than rewriting a few lines of code on the Wii U app so that it doens't reset the video if you try to rewind or fast-forward.

You don't actually have a counter argument to any of the points I made, so you just dismissed it with "well it doesn't bother me personally so there's no problem".

Regardless of the mass peoples opinion. I still prefer the flashplayer and would like the option to continue to use that instead of this new player.
I have been using Crunchyroll since it became a legit site to use and have had a subscription for it for quite awhile now. This player has me debating whether I wish to keep paying for something that isn't a benefit to me. I will defend the flash player as I haven't had problems with it and it has worked great for my needs.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion whether it's popular or not and I'm entitle to mine. If you don't agree with me that's fine. I'm fine with everyone wanting their new player but just want the option that has always great for me before this crappy version imho.
