please add a start from beginning button. My account is used by 2 people in my apartment and we watch alot of the same stuff. the new player and the old both made it unnecessarily difficult to get the video to start from the VERY beginning (0:00) and 1 button to start the episode over would remedy that

Until/if they ever do, you can go in the URL bar and change the ?t=xxx value to 00, then enter.

So to add my few cents as feedback for the development team, I first want to also request the return of that button to turn off/on autoplay of the next episode. I usually like to vary my animé watching, so even if I'm a bit behind in viewing one series, I seldom watch more than one episode of the same series in a sitting. Second, I also miss being able to see the timestamp where I have paused playback. Third, so far the new subtitles look okay, but if there were options to adjust their appearance, that would be an improvement. Finally, as also mentioned by others, it's not clear just what the video quality ends up being under the "auto" setting, and that should be made more obvious. That all said, at least for two days of trying the new player out, I'm pleased at not having the buffering pauses that increasingly made the flash player more and more annoying, especially at 1080p. Keep the improvements coming!

I do not get it, why they brag about diversity(which is nonexistent even if it is important for someone) and other not important bullshit? They should focus on show itself. You just dug your own grave with that :/

There was a third party player app I downloaded for Firefox a while ago. That one works great. Didnt even notice the new player and had no problems since I installed it months ago.

One thing I don't like is whenever I press any key on the keyboard, the UI appears. I use dual monitors so I usually use Alt + Print Screen to take screenshot, and most of time the screenshot I took has the UI in it. And yes, I would like to have the ability to turn autoplay off too.

I want to be able turn off the next-episode auto-play. When I finish an episode of an old series I want time to rate and comment.

Having to stop and go back is annoying

I'm with TheDustyForest. I can think of no benefit to losing full screen by default after EVERY episode. Even with a remote, I have to move the cursor and left-click on a tiny little button to restore full screen. That pretty much defeats the purpose of having an "autoplay next episode" function.

The old flash controls gave you two options: 1) let the next episode play and stay in full screen, or, 2) click on the "skip to next episode" button (lower left) which would exit fullscreen.

Honestly, I don't see much to boast about in the new videoplayer. It doesn't seem to improve buffering lag/streaming latency. It offers fewer controls. It drops out of full screen for no reason. Cursor hover doesn't display time marker. Rating = 3/5 stars.

can we get a way to change the size of the video player, I use to have a plugin that did that for me but stopped working with the HTML5 player, so now its either fullscreen which is fr to large for me or the tiny little one its frustrating/distracting to see all this empty white space around the video player.

I had the new player, and was satisfied with it. I come back, and I have the old player again. That isn't what I wanted. So clearing my cookies won't help in this case.

I already understood from your first post that you wanted the new player back. If there's a 50% chance that the page will load with the old player, the other 50% probably results in the new player. Sorry if the info I first provided made it seem like you wanted the old player.

The user in the last post of the following thread was able to get the new player back (after having been reverted to the old player) by clearing their history (including cache and cookies) and logging in again.

Oh, thank you so much! I did what you mentioned, and I have the new player back now.

HTML5 player is nice and all....

But still no information about HTTPS or the fact that Crunchyroll have been decreeing the bitrate of it's streams...

Subtitles work fine but I can not get a picture on here.

Also, it keeps coming up Not Secure.

But the app for the Ipad that I use works fine.

Your browser shows it as not secure due to them not having any HTTPS certificate on the website

Sadly the new video player is not working for me (showing no player) had to revert to the old player to watch anything.

Anyone know a fix for this? I have disabled my ad blockers but to no avail.

At least for now I can still watch episodes with the old player.

Edit: Should have also noted that I am using Chrome.

Gone back to the old one cause I kept getting more ads even after the advertisement part had played ii's ads for me (i.e got a bunch of ads video resumes then more ads come. Also when I paused the video ads would start playing and then resume the video.

Also the next video button was taken off.

All together I prefer the one we have now rather than the newer one.
