Subtitles?!

After reading a few threads, I did the whole set your language to English in the account settings, and yet I still have Spanish subtitles over English subtitles on Naruto!

Major Buzzkill.

I can't even read the original subtitles now underneath the Spanish ones! Wtf?!

Does anyone have a fix?

Using Chrome.

This only works for One Piece, which has a separate HD version for exactly the episodes affected. For Naruto you'd have to use one of the apps to watch with English subtitles for the time being, for example the Windows 10 UWP app for the PC.

They should do away with the multi langauge subtitles and just stick to English.

That'll make things pretty awkward for the customers watching in Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East .........

who cares? the non-speaking english fanbase is much smaller compared to the ones that do. They should focus on their main customers.

Well, I tried all of this and still no change.

Kinda laughable really.

Paying for a service that until they fix, can't really use?!

I'm no techy, but if common sense does prevail, which is ultimately rare these days, surely this sort of thing should have been looked over beforehand?

As far as their answers are concerned, I want to know when this 'future fix' is occurring because a lot of people seem to be feeling the same frustration and it's simply not good enough, even for the £5 it costs per month.

Here is a hack for the Duplicate Subtitles as seen in Chrome:

1. Right Click on the page you are trying to watch
2. Click "Inspect"
3. Click "Console"

--- Stick with me here ---

3. You should see a dropdown/select with the word "top" ..... Scroll and Click player.html

4. Towards the bottom you should see a right caret ">" where you can type

Copy and Paste this in there:

var stylesheet = document.createElement('style');
stylesheet.innerText = '.libassjs-canvas-parent { visibility: hidden !important; }';
document.body.append(stylesheet);

5. Press Enter


This should remove the subtitles not set as your primary. Let me know if you guys have any issues.
On that note, I'm going back to Naruto.


Hopefully Crunchyroll fixes this.
