Way too little WAY TO LATE.

As a customer who was putting up with your shitty flash player for 4 years only to have a band-aid thrown out quickly because someone did your own job for you in the form of a chrome extension is unacceptable for a subscription based service.

Also the player isnt even the whole problem. Issues with video quality, poor subtitles etc I just dont see a reason to re up my sub unless good progress is made ALL AROUND.

Has the turn off subtitle option been added yet? Haven't been able to and I like to turn them off because I'm studying Japanese and don't often need them.

For 3 days I haven't been able to see any videos on my PS3. Is it because of this new video player?
I hate the fact that we can't even contact someone except through emails to talk when there's an issue.
Might as well ask us to mail them a letter by post office. This is ridiculous.
If I'm paying monthly for something I can't use, or doesn't work properly, I rather go back to just mainly collecting anime. Thanks but no thanks.

Same here on my Win7 machine, and I've seen many other posts with the same symptoms. My Win10 machine plays it for some reason, same browser (Chrome) and extensions (Adblock and Ghostery, no whitelisting on Crunchyroll).


Exactly the same issue on my tablet, which was the main way I watched CR. So now I have a paper weight that is useless.

Can we please! Please! PLEASE! Have it to where it stays in fullscreen when autoplaying. Sometimes I just want to turn something on and do other things and it bugs me that it does not stay in fullscreen.

Thank you to everyone who reached out to us about these and other concerns - your feedback has been incredibly helpful to us, and we’re not done making improvements yet! We are currently working on the following issues and will be releasing fixes shortly:


1. Font style correction: some subtitles are losing styling or being changed to Arial.
2. Subtitle selector: this will provide an ability to choose subtitle language within the video player, or turn them off entirely if desired.
3. Typesetting: issues such as subtitles stacked on top of one another or spaced incorrectly in some videos are being addressed.
4. Support for iOS mobile web.

You don't. With the player now available to all users, there was no reason for CR to keep the Flash player.

One thing that I have found out. My wifi was too slow to move away from flash. I was having problems on sites other than CR. I have 100 meg internet but my wifi was only 2 ghz. I called the cable company and since I pay their $5.00/month fee they brought me out a new 5 ghz modem no charge. $25.00 on Amazon for a usb 2.0 5 ghz dongle and now my computer in my bedroom runs at 115 meg. All the hang ups on all the sites are gone. CR runs 1080 on auto. Now only if Miles could fix the autoplay so I can read the comments after an episode without hurrying to pause the player everything would be cool.

I'm having the exact same issue. This is sad and disappointing. I actually thought CR had their Sh*t together for a long time. Then VRV now this... Who retired and left Bill & Ted in charge?

The new player might still need a little tweaking, but for the most part it fixes a lot of the problems I have been having. I no longer have multiple buffering pauses when watching a newly released video. Also, once I figured out why I had no audio, I found fixing it easy. I'm hopeful this means I won't have to worry about losing audio in my browser again. All in all, a definite improvement.

Great to see you finally doing something! Now, how about fixing the UI to make browsing shows more user friendly, expanding your library outside the USA and stopping funding to non anime shows . We pay for you to licence anime and present it to us in a convenient fashion. I hope your SJW show's terrible reception was a wake up call

I was just wondering if it would be possible to add the next episode button back into the player? Esp for full screen.
