AppleTV - An error occurred loading this content

A simple announcement would help calm us down. Something to let us know that your aware of the problem and are working on a fix.

Anyone know if this problem affects the newer Apple TV's or just the older one without the touch remote?

I’m from Brazil. Apple TV gen 3, same error as everyone else since Tuesday. Streaming from iPad to Apple TV is really troublesome when I’ve bought Apple TV two years ago specially for crunchyroll, so I could watch it on tv, big screen. I’ve been a paying subscriber for a few years already. If I can’t watch it on Apple TV, I’ll just stop subscribing. Also, I’m a lawyer in Brazil, and by consumer laws here in Brazil,when a service isn’t being properly accessible, consumer has the right to have a discount or refund partially, in regards to those days when service wasn’t 100% functioning. So, I expect at least that much.

Already tried this. See all three replies on the first page of comments. None of CRs suggestions even addressed the issue. I guess if more people log the same issue through customer service we are more likely to be heard?

I am also having the same issue as described by everyone else here for the last 2 days. Have restarted, disconnected power and signed out, with no luck. App is updating history when I've watched elsewhere, but as soon as I try to play anything, the "an error occurred while loading this content" message appears. App works fine on my computer, phone and android player.

It would be great for crunchyroll to acknowledge and fix this issue as soon as possible.

I've also checked their Facebook and Twitter page for any news about this problem and nothing is mentioned. Last time they at least acknowledged they had a problem with the Apple TV and were working on it.

Well looks like the new Fall Season that start Monday is in jeopardy.

Sorry, you're right, didn't read through the whole thing, that's my bad. I do think just massive complaints can be the thing that grabs their attention.

Also, I don't know if this has been said or if anyone has tried this, but using AirPlay through an iPhone gets pretty much the same quality of streaming on the AppleTV. It's only selecting the shows through the AppleTV Crunchyroll app, not a cell phone.

I am about to give up and cancel if it is not sorted till tomorrow. It started on the 25th for me. I just hope they’ll at least credit the remaining ( more than 20 days) days back, as per local law. Wish you guys luck.

Alright,

I got a reply from the Crunchyroll support team saying that they were escalating my ticket so that their engineers could investigate why this was happening with the Apple TV CR app. Hopefully I'll get a logical non canned response soon.
