I'm quite happy to resume the annual Funi sub I had before the deal. The main annoyance for me, since I watch CR on VRV's app without a VRV sub, is that Funimation's app still doesn't have offline viewing, which is the only way to watch in the places I do around 3/5 of my watching.

Pick a company to side with, that company invests in licensing shows and reasonably offers them to fans for paid viewing, while the competing company HOLDS SHOWS YOU LIKE HOSTAGE.

I pay $60/year = good for studios
I pay $120/year = "drag studios through the dirt in the west"

Many said it was anti-consumer for Funi and CR to create a "monopoly" together. Apparently anything and everything is anti-consumer to someone.

Be discouraged.

I really hope they give us a proper master list because looking up "Funimation" under the publisher list gave me about 40 titles at least, some of which they've only recently lent out to Crunchyroll.

I'm seeing about 240 titles on the publisher page.

Not sure if you are aware, but HIDIVE is joining VRV.

I don't think you understand nDroae. A lot of people don't want to spend exuberant amounts of money for the same services they used to have that get pieced out. This isn't just people utilizing these two services, they're also being put through Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime (which is already $100 if you're not a student), HBO, Showtime, cable/satellite TV and streamed television. Every one of those services is already starting at ~$50 a year not including quality/resolution packages. Crunchyroll is $60 a year, VRV is $120 a year (for those who continue with Hidive), and now Funimation is probably going to tack another $60 on top of that for people that want full coverage. VRV was the best inbetween because the services shared the same single platform and price-point with extra benefits. Now every catalog is being swiss-cheesed. Because of Netflix's abnormal success every single media corporation is trying to build a walled garden for their subscription services. Keep in mind that there's also probably a large portion of people who tried to save money subscribing to VRV since it combines so many services, and Funimation's dubs were a high selling point. Now Sony's paywalling both subbed and dubbed content. It all adds up as a form of streaming service gerrymandering. It's anti consumer because the subscription services are spreading too thin and wide. Hopefully Funimation sees the same fate as Crackle. Sony needs to stop touching the hot stove over and over again.

Good! more competition means better for us the consumer in the long run.

Look at Wrestling for example, once WCW and ECW were bought by WWE, WWE became unwatchable garbage because they were the only show in town and did not have to try.

afaik, this should be everything - https://www.crunchyroll.com/publisher/Funimation (google came up w/ that site, now sure how to search it w/in CR. Tried in Search and i couldn't get to that list).

I had a couple on my que, and after looking at that list, there's a few more I'd like to watch. Still not sure if I should start binging some now, wait for a list of anime that are staying at CR, or just count my losses...

edit:
not sure why my link isn't hyperlinked. But nDroae's post above mine that has it hyperlinked.

People are just going to pirate more now since the number of """"""""""""exclusives """""""""""" is too damn high. Instead of consolidated services you now have to subscribe to 1500 of them to get a full catalog of shows you like and even then you'll be missing some. Too much subscription saturation.

I already have a year sub for Hidive... So that doesn't really help me as paying for VRV would be double paying for a service.

Actually this does bring up a good point, and its most likely obvious but I have a potato for a brain, but will the 4th season of MHA not be on CR?

General anime publishing rights question - is it normal for publishers to only have rights to some seasons of an anime?

I'm seeing Black Butler S2 is published by Funimation, but all other Black Butler is not. Is that normal in general? If not, how does something like that happen?

Yes as far as I know. That's why you get odd seasons split between services. Darker than Black has season 2 on here and Funimation but season 1 is split elsewhere from what I've seen.

Very Sad News for many Anime fans on Crunchroll... Me however I'm already subbed to both sites ???? all joking aside though I do wish that instead of anime being split between 5 or 6 different services I do wish there was one worldwide service to bring it all together.

As admirable of a one-stop shop anime streaming site, the amount of time and money to secure such streaming rights would be enormous.

I might have missed it but I need a freekin' list of what's going away in a few weeks so I can make some decisions on what to watch.
