I have a feeling this is going to screw up a lot of the home media that has been delayed and thus basically pulled from pre-order

Fuuka...Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy, RE: Zero Part 2

not to mention that Funimations FAQ about already released home media licensed by Crunchyroll only said "subject to inventory availability"

Sounds to me that they won't be printing any more Home Media for shows that were acquired by Crunchyroll before the partnership in September 2016

I'm just glad future seasons of BNHA are safe. Like that, Food Wars, and Fairy Tail are some definite needs.

Keeping my eyes peeled for the list of things that are going to disappear.

Sony proves once again that it can't work with anyone. Only through the masses can it even be convinced to open up their games to allow cross-play. So of-course they'd also wall up the entertainment side of things. People in leadership need to grow up, because this claiming of everything and splitting everything up is what hinders advancement.

This is the world we live in today.

I just laugh honestly at this point. You want to support the industry but these people are seriously asking you to pay for each service. They still wonder why pirating is at an all time high. I'm not paying for 5 streaming services for anime.

Isnt that unclear at this point No one has announced a simulcast of HeroAca s4, so HeroAca is not really an ongoing simulcast...

When the FuniRoll partnership was going on, most of their respective anime catalogs (I am guessing like 95%) were on VRV. Thus, you could watch a dub or sub of a show on VRV and subscribe to VRV but not necessarily also subscribe to the separate CR and Funi accounts. I wonder if a similar thing will be done with the re-forged Sentai/CR alliance.

I thought it was because they're ongoing shows. I can't imagine CR not getting BNHA S4. That would really effect things. I mean even when it's not airing it's one of the most streamed shows on the website.

I think they definitely want to keep the popular Funi titles and BNHA is one of them.

What about the home video releases for the shows announced at the beginning of the partnership but haven't released yet?

So let me see, we are about to;
1) lose a Chuck of the anime catalog
2) have less animes simulcast for next season
3) no new seasons of FUNimation titles.

Crunchyroll keeps bringing the bad news.

Well now we get to see AT&T and Sony duke it out in the anime industry with funimation and crunchyroll. Why do businesses think every person has the money to subscribe to every little streaming service. I think if anything growing competition hurts the industry outside of Japan. So what now I got to own a subscribtion to Netflix, Crunchyroll, Funimation, HIDIVE, and whatever? yeah no. This partnership was great while it lasted and I wish more media companies would partner up. I suppose profitability will prevent that. So unfortunatly I now have to binge as many funimation aquired shows as possible in my queue before November 9. great good buy free time.

Losing a chunk of the catalog has happened before when streaming rights expire.

not free.. 6$ monthly/60$ yearly

Well that sucks. Thanks for the info. At least I won't have to worry about it until I know what shows get removed.

Traditionally all the Funimation titles come out on Hulu in subs as well. Not as early as CR I don't think though.
