I didn't want to read all 73+ pages. Can you tell me if recovery of an mmo junkie is going to be available for the U.S.? It shows not available for my region. I thought Funimation breakup maybe effecting recovery of an mmo junkie.

The Russian dub is region locked. You can still watch it in Japanese w/ English sub and English dub

The series is one of the most widely available on CR (only being unavailable in Japan and China). I'm in the US and don't have any problem accessing the English subtitled or English dubbed versions.

If you are looking at the show page, keep in mind the "Sorry, due to licensing limitations, videos are unavailable in your region" message will be shown if it applies to even a single video on that page (and while the Portuguese and Spanish dubs are available in the US, as alconnow noted, the Russian one is not). Keep in mind if you can expand the drop down and see video thumbnails, those should be accessible to you.

Does anyone know that after the blu-ray/dvd Re:Zero season 1 part 2 is released that if they will put the english dub on the site will it be censored or uncensored?

I'm gonna just drop by and say I will most definitely not be happy if BNHA S4 goes onto Funi because (at least at the time of posting this) I cannot access the Funimation website whatsoever, as it says the content isn't available in my country.

It would almost certainly be uncensored, as there was never a dubbed simulcast of the series. It would be a situation akin to Testament of Sister New Devil.

I could have sworn I read Testament of sister new devil, that could be my imagination, I hope it was.

Some reason I knew

Dear CR users,

As many of you know, we have had an ongoing partnership with Funimation the last two years, sharing anime between users. Unfortunately, Funimation has decided to go their separate way, and this partnership will be winding down on Friday, November 9th.

For our Crunchyroll community, this means that you’ll still be able to access the biggest anime library in the world. However, a list of select catalog titles licensed via Funimation will be leaving Crunchyroll - likewise, the Funimation catalog will also be impacted. That list is currently being finalized between both parties, and we will share impacted titles with you as available. Currently-airing simulcasts and series that premiered during the partnership will continue to be available on Crunchyroll, including favorites like Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia. Additionally, all home video releases will be released as scheduled and all pre-orders will be fulfilled.

As demonstrated by our record year of anime announcements, Crunchyroll is more committed than ever to bringing you the best and latest series from Japan, as well as expanding our catalog of classics. We’ve just launched a strong fall season -- with the likes of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Sword Art Online Alicization -- and plan to bring much more anime to you in the future.

Thank you for your continued support. We’re honored to be your favorite source for anime and will continue to do our best in delivering you your favorite series at the speed of Japan.

Sincerely,
The Crunchyroll Team

UPDATE - FRIDAY, NOV 2:

We are still in the process of determining the list of titles affected by Funimation’s termination of our partnership. With the removal date approaching, we aim to give our users as much time as possible to watch any affected titles while still available on Crunchyroll.

Below we’ve included a partial list representing the top 20 most popular anime that are leaving the Crunchyroll service. We will also be adding almost 50 seasons of English dubs that Crunchyroll helped produce; a tentative list of these dubs can be found below.

Thank you for your patience as we work with Funimation to finalize these details.

UPDATE - FRIDAY, NOV 9:

As of today at 5:00pm Pacific, all titles associated with Funimation’s departure from the partnership have been removed from Crunchyroll

They probably wouldn’t have made this decision if y’all hadn’t wasted thousands of dollars to make high guardian spice and publish that danmachi mobile game with all the censorship. Fixing bugs with the site, improving the player and apps, and acquiring new licenses is your job, not producing more sjw cringe, and definitely not using your customers dime to do it. Hate to break it to you crunchyroll, but funimation ain’t the only ones leaving. I’m finishing my series up then I’m going back to free streaming on my pc. You’re losing almost every show I watch and enjoy, gaining 2 I enjoy, thanks entirely to your continuously bad business decisions and failure to keep license agreements. Glad you chose your hill to die on.

There is a little blame on Funimation. I mostly blame Sony for not continuing the partnership until the current shows ended.

I am a little confused on something. If CR & Funimation had a contract. How come Sony can override it? Just because Funimation Agrees to be acquired shouldn't cancel the contract. Did CR forgot to put a clause in the agreement?

It was canceled around the two-year anniversary, so people figure the deal must have depended on both companies opting in to renew it either annually or biennially.

Here's what Funimation's CEO said afterward: https://www.newsweek.com/funimation-crunchyroll-split-reason-why-1258066

A lot of people are skeptical about Funimation having real intent to expand internationally. It would be nice to see them announce more than their usual territories with this spring's Fruits Basket.

i think this whole industry between the grey lines is a bunch of crap and they are a bit to lazy to deal with shit the even steven way....i agree with the guy above that said he didn't see the benefit in funi being partnered to begin with and i feel the same. in the end it just turned out being cr wanting more then they could provide that didnt sit well with funi....i mean that VRV is garbage and the fact that they swapped the cr app on fire tv forcing people to use vrv is just plain stupid and with limitations to boot.. cr calm down your not that special just another company that loves anime which is seldom nowadays but once funi and cr are not the leaders for US viewers watch how they will bend....focus on us your consumers not the money growth like you did back when you started so many years ago...i remember. such a step back for y'all grow up and expand not diminish....

ps....fix your VRV app its garbage and doesn't update on time

When are The Ancient Magus Bride and Mob Psycho 100 dubs coming to Crunchyroll? You said they were coming months ago, whats the hold up?

Another month has passed and the Mob Psycho 100 dub is still MIA. Is CR getting the English dub or not? You'd think with the second season coming out they'd get right on that.
