Looking forward to this quite a bit, having enjoyed a couple years of kyudo practice. KyoAni did an excellent job accurately depicting the little details that only a kyudoka would notice. Of course, it's all secondary to the protag's coming of age/recovery story, but the introspective nature of kyudo makes it an apt and elegant setting for his emotional development.

It's going to be a bit rough if you're watching as a freebie. Maybe posting about something you can binge would go better for you. It might be hard to keep things in context to respond when someone is a week behind, and there's sure to be what would effectively be spoilers for those someones everywhere as well.

The problem is that no one really wants to talk about anything that's not currently airing...

Was wondering when this show is going to air and suffice to say I was pleasantly surprised to see it on the updated shows list.
So far, so good, it had a nice start, the characters seem interesting and best of all it reminds me of my days doing archery in high-school. Can't wait to see the next episodes!

I actually got more Haikyuu vibes...or maybe because Kageyama's VA plays the same type of dude in this.

Hot Archer Guy in the end though has me intrigued.

I love it !!

I really like Kyoto Animation work on this one as they did in K-On and Free!. I happen to find someone translation of the Light novel and the anime adaptation made it really better. Its beautiful. A work of art.

As for the story, I like the introduction of the characters and it already set what the main issue of our main character in one episode.

I was cracking to hear Ishikawa Kaito is also a Kaito in here

Cant wait for the next episode

Episode 2

Minato is not alone as lots of other students there aren't exactly at the archery club because they wanted to be there. But unlike with everybody else, it was a simple matter of getting Minato to like archery again seeing that everything went south ten years ago when the sound faded, and so did his skills and passion for the sport. Masaki sure is a guy that's hard to figure out with that 10k arrow goal.

Episode 2

Takigawa is so mysterious...I can't figure him out but he definitely seem like a bad guy. Then, there's Minato who I think is still battling his own personal demons. I wonder if Takigawa can change him. Either way, it'll be interesting to see his character development.

On the technical note, I love the music/soundtrack of the show so far. It's a candidate for best OST of the season/year if you ask me.

Nothing like a handsome man to cure your problems

Nice of his mates to keep pushing him, despite his obvious objections and anxiety.
His Target Panic looked psychological, with that past competitive pressure forced on him, but that's not to say there's a neurological element too.

Given that Takigawa never fully recovered (yet), I wonder how they handle Minato's recuperation.

The vet girls are sassy, but the naughty panties powder pod probably was the biggest bit of deus ex machina.

I am really enjoying this. I love that they're doing archery as the subject, especially the traditional Japanese style. I also appreciate that the MC's problem is sports related, and not the usual soap-opera plot. But just generally I love the humor and storytelling of the anime. The Takigawa twist was perfect, and the whole end of the 2nd episode was delightful for the realism.

Archery is such a beautiful sport. The graceful approach to this anime seems to respect that. It's not rushed, not cluttered with unnecessary shenanigans. The serious facial expressions actually reflect complex emotions (which is a nice change from the typical anime-forced expression). It seems like it's the same staff that did Violet Evergarden. Has that same beautiful feel to it.
