I think he means Sony bought Funimation and ended the partnership with Crunchyroll, so all of the Funimation content on Crunchyroll was removed and vice versa.

Of course Crunchyroll is not using the uncut material for stuff they bring over from Funimation, so they aren't exactly being consumer friendly either.

Good for Sony to not let their new acquisition be anchored to a sinking ship.

FunimationNow and their website have so many problems I'm not sure how seaworthy they are either.

FunimationNow and their website have so many problems I'm not sure how seaworthy they are either.

Mind filling me in?

1) Their Forum and the rest of the site share a login, but often one or the other won't recognize that you are logged in, but still won't let you log in, so you have to log out from whichever portion of the site recognizes you as being logged in, clear your cookies and cache and go back to log in again. They acknowledged this problem 2 years ago, but have done nothing to fix it. Even after all that often trying to get to your account settings just send you to the home page.

2) The que in the apps only shows 50 items. For a bunch of members, the que on the website only shows up to 72 items.

3) The digital copy code redemption page doesn't work for older members, the only response they get from Funimation is to create a new account.

4) The Digital Copy system doesn't appear to work on shows that they lost after the CR partnership ended, yet they are still advertising those shows as having digital copy in their storefront.

5) People are constantly complaining about being geo-locked even though they are in the US and not using proxies.

6) The customer service e-mail is useless. No Funimation employees even monitor the forum anymore, but the forum mods tell people to tweet Funimation to get problems resolved because the staff checking the e-mail support are useless.

7) They sent out an e-mail advertising that Nichijou was available for streaming, 3 weeks later and only 1 episode is up. I contacted customer support and their response was that they were not putting up all shows at once (why did you advertise that show then?)

8) They have claimed to be working on Switch apps, Several smart TV apps and downloading for offline play for well over a year now...with no progress.

9) Delayed Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy over a year ago saying it would release in 2018 instead, they have pre-orders up to February 2019, but no word on HxH Magias Academy. They released censored episodes of Tsugumomo on Bluray without advertising that it was censored...their excuse was that's what the publisher gave them. They released RE:Zero Part 1 with horrible video quality (did the even quality control it?) again their excuse was "that's what we were given". (how about you demand the producers give you the proper raws?)

10) They don't announce when they are removing content until it is already gone. Every time people ask for advanced notice and every time they claim they didn't know until the last minute (which is just absolute BS). In fact everything they took down after the CR partnership ended was listed as coming to CR and leaving Funimation in CR's own news section a week before Funimation removed the shows, yet Funimation staff claimed they didn't know until the day they removed the shows.

What are you talking about? What you said for 4 is not true at all. I just put in the digital code in for part 3 of Twin Star Exorcist this weeekend and it worked perfectly fine even part 2 is still in my library on FunimationNow. Even for what you said for 8 after when a fan posted on twitter that an app was coming to the Switch (Which you shouldnt always trust) Funimation released an official statement saying that they didn't and that they're at the early stages of navigating the possibility which doesn't even mean they're working on one. Nintendo are the ones who decide if they want to work with Funimation to bring an app to the Switch and if their not interested then its not going to happen until they are.

Testament of Sister New Devil Burst gives me "stream not available" when I try to use my digital copy.

It is in my library, but the videos don't play. Have you tried playing a video from your Library for Twin Star Exorcist recently?

Funimation had an administrator on their own forums saying that they were working on a few Smart TV apps, over a year ago and nothing has come of it.

Also as I stated above, the download for offline play has been promised for well over a year.

I'll admit, they said that they were still waiting for a Switch to work on the Switch app....over a year ago.

I just bought The Morose Mononokean Bluray & Digital, the Digital code refuses to be accepted. I've contacted customer support but so far yea... 4 is pretty accurate on my end.

Don't forget that funimationnow uses those crappy CC style subs and even those don't work on all series.

Personally would be more concerned about Sony's new censorship practices spreading from their gaming division into Funimation.

I like CR's subs better, but the CC style are okay...better than what HIDIVE uses..at least for the Amazon Fire App.

I haven't watched much subbed stuff on Funimation, but I started watching Bunny Senpai there and the subs were not in sync with the audio and some of them flashed off screen too fast.
