A post I made recently was reported even though it contained nothing that breaks any rules.

there is no need to worry. if the post doesnt violate anything, no action will be taken against your account.
people can report anyone for any reason - or no reason at all - that doesnt mean mods will take their reports seriously.

"It might seems obvious to most but when posting in a game thread, do not double (triple, quadruple, etc) post. You may only continue to post after at least 2-3 other people posted after you."

For some reason, I unintentionally posted three times in the same thread. I tried deleting them, but it would let me. Sae-chan's post above mine was reported for no reason, she didn't have duplicate posts.

Sometimes multiposting accidentally happens - don't worry, if it's just multiples of a post, generally all but one will be removed. If they're different posts, we might try combining them into a single post, or just leave it alone if it's not a pattern of behavior. Sometimes the server has a hiccup and posts something 4x in a row, definitely not the poster's fault!

Forum games do get a bit weird, though, since the order of the posts can matter heavily, and for a long time there's been a forum bug where if a mod removes a post, the next post will end up out of order within the thread. That can also lead to posts that you'd made with the proper other posts in between, then suddenly see your posts piling up in a row. Counting games or reply games can get weird if posts are removed in that case.

I try to look at the individual case before just deleting anything, and like I said, unless it's a pattern of what looks like intentional multi-posting, we wouldn't ban for something like that.

In general, best way to bring it to mod attention is to report your own post and say "unintentional multipost" or "please delete this for me" or something like that, same with groups or asking to have one of your threads closed. We can see who posted and who reported, and if it's the creator asking for something like that, it's just a quick click to take care of.

Rules or not, I think it's fine when posts are far apart, especially by tens of hours to days. If nobody else has posted for quite some time, you're not getting in anyone's way and that's what the multi-post rules are really there to prevent. It was also made when the forums had far more traffic than they do now.

Tbh, I think that thread in particular need some amendments.
