Just found this out recently that the Ebola Virus was patented by the US Department of Health before the outbreak. In America.

https://patents.google.com/patent/US20120251502A1/en
us20120251502A1

It does say that on a much smaller scale that a small similar ebola virus strain outbreak has happened before but not to the scale of what happened in 2014.

This website says a bit on the patent and about the Government and the CDC patent

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/patent-zero/

Thoughts?

I don't trust snopes they are full of lies but yes America marketed the Ebola Virus, along with other things. that's America for you, let alone CDC and other government officials for you. this isn't uncommon, they think they own it all and actually "created" it in some cases.

this is one of those cases we don't need to catch them all... further: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Ebola+Virus+was+patented+by+the+US+Department+of+Health&t=ffab&atb=v116-1&ia=web

i can see them using it to wipe out undesirable parts of americas population

you can suspect that someone working for the government wants all of the african american population to be exterminated so they will manufacture and spread ebola to wipe them out

conspiratorial i know but its very possible

You don't trust Snopes but you'll listen to conspiracy laden snake oil blogs devoted to shilling "natural health" products?

It's really not. Even putting aside the delusion of the government doing such a thing; Think about this for a moment.

How would you go about targeting only a specific type of person with a contagious disease? Nevermind Ebola, which is not an airborne virus. Spreading it would be difficult in a country with modern sanitation and health practices.

Comparatively speaking, outbreaks and epidemics are very small the modern world. The ebola outbreak in West Africa only killed around 11,000 people in 3 years. You're not going to wipe out some odd 47 million African Americans in the US with ebola.

So, this virus is living in our bodies, just in case some alien parasite decides to pass through? I guess my body just isn't designed well enough to handle the disease. Who do I get to blame for that?

I'd be far more concerned about the Smallpox, that both the U.S. and Russia still possess, than this.....

I think nothing of it. First, ebola as a general virus class has been known since the 70s. Second, the U.S. Gov. didn't patent Ebola. It has a patent related to a specific strain of ebola which was first discovered in a natural setting- a different strain than the one involved in the 2014 outbreak (See: https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/ebola-virus-disease). Moreover, given that the strain the patent pertains to did not originate with the U.S. Gov., and since most of the paper reads like gibberish in my eyes, I'm really not even sure what the patent is. It appears to simply be saying, "Hey, we did tons of research on this bug we found." How or why that research could be patented, idk, unless it's for a synthetic copy of the discovered species?
