Twice now I've commented on new episodes of anime that I enjoy, posting a guest pass code for a non-member to use and enjoy the newest episode. Both times I saw that the user redeeming my guest pass has been a premium member for years! Is this some sort of spiteful antic or is it a defect on the part of the developers of the site?

]The date on their profile is when they created their account, whether free or premium at the time. Free members "turn into" premium members once they redeem the pass. If you are already premium, you can't redeem one.

So the aforementioned two users are premium+ members; I should have clarified.

Not to put them on blast, but unless they decided after just using a guest pass to become premium+ members, seems kinda uncool.

I should probably start posting my Guest passes, I just let them rot.

Seems like a waste of time redeeming a guest pass when you already are a member. Whats an additional 48 hours even mean to a person with a sub already?

As I recall, posting guest passes on the anime comments of the episode is against site rules. It is also annoying reading comments of what people thought of the episode and seeing tons of guest pass spam.

You're right - from the Site Rules:
Guest Pass codes should not be posted in comments. They are considered off-topic and, because they are used so quickly, they become clutter almost instantly.

I didn't realize, as I have seen it done in the past and assumed it a kind gesture towards non-premium members to view new anime. My apologies for making a complaint about something that's against the site rules anyways!
