So Evangelion is coming out to Netflix.

And sadly, I never watched Evangelion all the way to the end, especially when the DVDs were out and I couldn't have purchased them as a kid. To make matters worse, I spent years looking up way too many spoilers to Evangelion, from the plot turns to the ending before getting the chance to watch it.

So should I still watch Evangelion when it comes out on Netflix, even after looking up too many spoilers to the show?

Evangelion is an experience, especially End of Eva.

So yes, you should watch it. Any verbal description is not going to do it justice.

Chances are you'll probably come back to the spoilers afterward so you can make some sense of what you just experienced, lol.

You should absolutely watch it.

You may know what happens already, but Neon Genesis Evangelion is one anime that really requires a watch in order to understand it fully. Plus, thinking things through after every episode will add to your enjoyment.

you can join the revolution of asking what the heck did I just watch! that way you'll know what others imply the "trip". it's a good series, nothing I wanted to buy, but it was good. if you find it isn't for you then you could watch, stall or watch in between something when you have nothing better to watch at the time. I do that from time to time. it's not for everyone but some people like it, some people don't. won't know until you watch it.

You should watch it, even after reading all the spoilers. This is one of the classic series that marks its name in the animation history.

Oh, and ignore the remake movies for now (Well, I don't know if they are even on Netflix since I canceled my account), you can wait until the final movie has been released.

I still haven't seen End of Evangelion, so I'm definitely looking forward to this. And while I have heard one thing about what happens, mostly I have no idea.

Since no one, including Anno, really knows what is going on in Eva, there is no way to get spoiled really. All you have is fan theories of what may or may not have happened.

Watch it and make your own conclusions, because lord knows it is as valid as anyone else's.

If you want to be a true aficionado of Evangelion you need the watch all the four or so variations. The bulk of the show of the variations is the same but they all have different endings. The latest one that is in OVA form has the best graphics and attempts to go further than the others. In none of the cases, though, is there a true ending. It's my opinion that there are too many plot threads presented that can't all be drawn into one story.

However, after a while you will find out that the best part of EVA is the social interactions of the different characters, and not what is going on with all the "angel" attacks

YES, even if you've seen it before I'd say yes.

Buckle your seatbelt; that particular anime ride is pretty bumpy...

But worth it.

The original Evangelion series, coupled with End of Evangelion, was a favorite series for the longest time. Honestly now I prefer the manga telling of the story, which I feel is the most complete and satisfying iteration.

Not the new movies. I did like the first new movie, Rebuild(?), but not the second and I hated the third.

If you want to, then you want to. Near as I can tell, a truly good series is still enjoyable even when "spoiled" or seen before.

Of course you should.
I don't think it's possible for any of the spoilers to ruin the experience of watching it for yourself.
