Only if I'm trapped in an airport, my luggage is missing, my laptop is dead and I can't find my book.

I haven't used cable in years now, don't care for dish either. when I found I can stream things on the net (then later went to apps) I have had no need for cable. I use CR, Funi, Hulu, Netflix, SonyCrackle and TubiTV. currently I'm in search of a free Asian streaming app since DramaFever went poof. I recently had to buy an amazon fire stick because my TV had gotten too old for streaming. I have found AsianCrush for streaming free/premium, but they really don't have much stuff.

When my internet is down then I'll go and watch something on cable but that rarely happens.

Honestly I would watch cable if it was more affordable (I was told that their cheapest rate was something absurdly high, like $80/month) Antennas don't work where I live currently so it sucks missing out on "live" tv sometimes.

Every weekday to watch Jeopardy. And sometimes on Sundays to watch AFV.

I have not watched free to air TV in over 3 years and have never had cable.

That is what streaming services and the internet is for...

Yeah, I like cable TV.
I don't want to search through a million websites just for cam quality when TV already has a lot of good stuff.
VoD is especially a beauty, so many movies I can sit and watch with friends on lazy days like today.

Between my wife and I we have Hulu with live TV, Netflix and VRV, the one thing I don't like with cable via streaming is not having certain channels, namely Hulu not having MTV, Nickelodeon and the like. Sling you have to get umpteen packages to have near every major network, Direct TV Now had the best channel line up but you couldn't cast DVR recordings and only 20 hours of DVR space

Yes but only for sports mostly. Honestly I was thinking about getting one of those stream boxes so I can still watch sports and get rid of cable all together.

Yes, there are several shows I watch, news, plus TVJapan, which I don't believe is available via streaming, or if it is, I'm not aware. If it wasn't for TVJapan, I'd be much more seriously considering cutting the cord. Cable is one tool in my entertainment toolbox. I'd imagine a lot of folks here would laugh if I told them I still watch blurays, but when I want a SERIOUS movie experience, streaming can't compete yet. Another tool....

I was actually paid to do several of those Nielsen surveys. One of them involved keeping a diary of all the TV I watched over the course of a week. Probably the easiest $20 I ever made - I sent it back blank.

Well, if blank was honest, then they got what they asked for!
