I haven't subscribed to Crunchyroll in a long time, probably several years. Should I re-subscribe?

I dropped my subscription (several times) because videos would buffer, stop, and generally just fail to work. Then when I wrote in for support, by the time anyone replied, the problem would have magically resolved itself. And of course they replied with the same stuff over and over again: restart your browser, clear you cache, eat your cookies without milk, etc.

Oh, and I was watching videos at SD resolution (usually 480p) to try to keep things playable.

Has the site changed in the past few years? Has the streaming improved? Is it worthwhile to come back?

I do miss reading the commentary on episodes, that was pretty fun.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut after all the different trackers I had to look up to make this forum submission page work, idk, I think I'd get an ITD if I hung around here too much :(

adsvr.com, segment.com, pafefair AND newrelic? It's not often I need to look up so many domains to see what kind of javascript they might be running. That's a major turn off.

App is still crap. Video player is better but not by much. some bug here and there but tolerable for now. That being say the ads version for their free shows are a clown fiesta. Some say sub is just a few bucks. Yeah mate and if I sub to every place that has a show I like I end up paying 300 dollars or more a month.

I say do it for a month and if you hate it then unsub. That easy.

That's an easy approach to it. I've got to say I'm not impressed with their technology nowadays. I got error pages after successfully posting to the forum and a few other random problems.

Of course, some of those could be self inflicted with NoScript etc., but I've never seen other websites respond that way.
