Mio literally sings when she is sad, but it seems like she is always sad... God damn watching Mio die was so sad.... He should have killed that last guy and not let him live.

Episode 7

The next demon is a spider lady, and Yajiro finds her collapsed on the road naming her Ohagi. While it was her intent to kill him, Yajiro showed so much kindness that she couldn't do it. But while Yajiro won't kill her, she's a wanted woman, so there are lots of people out there trying to kill her, and Yajiro ended up getting hurt. In the end, Ohagi's malevolence faded and Dororo didn't have to kill her as those two live on together. That was quite a change-up there going to show that there are some demons out there who can be tamed.

Episode 7

A very by the numbers kind of episode but these type of two seemingly opposites in love always warm my heart so I liked it a lot. Also showed us some more of how Hyakkimaru is becoming more sympathetic along this journey as he's regaining his humanity with his body. Not seeing things as black and white, even as Dororo herself said if he didn't have his hearing, probably a lesson of how if we don't listen to each other, things could've turned out awkward.

So nothing new per se but I liked the main beats especially after the pain of these past few eps. Good cooldown episode. Hyakkimaru and Dororo just journeying around is in itself pretty fun. Liked seeing our duo not have to hack and slash a problem to solve it.

Episode 7

This week focuses on Ohagi the spider-lady (Jorōgumo Yōkai)
Not the best episode but even the best anime have a few bland episodes. I’m just glad nobody died this episode, not even the spider that landed on Dororo!

It made me laugh when Dororo attempted to make Hyakkimaru laugh by tickling him.

Nice, lighthearted episode. The backgrounds are as pretty as ever. I also love seeing the end cards.

Still my favourite anime of the season.

I actually expected her to die, but it was a refreshing change today.

What determines the colour Hyakki sees, as I wondered if she was truly a bad ghoul, and that off-screen embrace(?) near the end proved it. Perhaps it's the colour of a demon's malice.

To throw a curveball, what if she was the key to one of Hyakki's body parts?

As for Hyakki's hearing - he has never known words until very recently, so he shouldn't be able to understand what Dororo was saying yet, surely?

Ohagi was a ghoul not a demon so I don't think it affects his body parts if she dies or not

She was only a ghoul yes. Hence why her spirit color wavered some from that dark red and why Hyakkimaru let her go.

This chapter was like The Witcher, a human acts more as a monster than the monster itself.

Those guards just wanted to kill, to slave them, and he helped them to scape. I'm glad they could made it Finally something happy.

This episode was fairly relaxing compared to the last two, so that was a nice change. It kind of allowed viewers to take a breather from the sadness of the previous episode.

And seeing Hyakkimaru

Didn't expect the unlikely couple to survive the episode, let alone together, but I'm so glad they did. Even the villagers have some hope as their secret escape route hasn't been found. Nice change from the intensely tragic vibe of the previous couple episodes.
