Episode 3

As it turns out, Isabella is well aware that Norman and Emma know about the secret, but she hasn't told anybody but Krone about it. But it's a good thing that those three are approaching things assuming that Isabella knows that they are aware of the truth since they can't overlook any possibility. And that tracking device, it's behind the ear. That Krone sure is an athletic freak seeing that she had no problem rounding up the kids in that game of hide and seek, but Norman and Ray outsmarted her in the end. The drama just keeps on building here going to show that escaping this place is going to require a well thought-out plan.

They're doing a good job of making Krone creepy without making her a touch racially insensitive like the manga. Not that it ever bothered me, I just know it bothered some people. Also.... BRING ON THE PHIL THEORIES ANIME ONLY PEOPLE!

The show continues to be gloriously unnerving

Isabella really is a piece of work and Krone is outright bonkers. I wonder if she and the other assistants are the ones providing the "fresh livestock" My skin is crawling even thinking of that.

Would it be a spoiler to enquire how far into the story these 12 episodes will get?

I'm thinking it could just be about their preparations for escape and end on the escape attempt itself (that would be a serious cliffhanger)

There's nothing quite like a Connie dessert after receiving a pleasing report from your top farm. I jokes - it's probably not her

Krone is superwoman - she runs at mad speeds in heels. Isabella interestingly implied in a throwaway comment that the sisters/mothers used to be the top scorers of their classes? How do they get selected and separated from the feeds I wonder.

The Gilda(?) girl was a bit too obvious, not sure if that was a fault of the anime. But I like this extra variable to see how the trio get past it.

Perhaps they won't make it out of the farm in this season, due to the ever-increasing hurdles.

Ah the old glass reflection shot, but maybe it's deliberate misdirection

Damn these top tier livestock are pretty good huh.

The new caretaker is interesting to say the least and she adds a whole lot more of tension. I can almost cut it with a knife. There's a traitor among us.

I don't think it would be a spoiler, but just in case...

Krone is a freak, and also has lost it. Anyone else get the feeling that even if the kids somehow escape with the world being controlled by the demons their situation is just hopeless? Obviously there are other farms with other children being watched over by more controlled adults and adults are being used for breeding the children (or are they being kidnapped?), Are there any free humans the kids could even meet up with, unless there are previously escaped kids hiding in the woods.
Also Emma has the worst poker face.

The plot really thickens. That tag scene was tense and very uncomfortable.

I am curious about this system in place for the farms. What was it about Isabella and Krone (and other mothers and sisters) which meant they were separated from being just food? Obviously Krone is unhinged (disturbingly so) so something must have happened to send her over the edge.

Does anyone remember those really old Warner Bro's cartoons, where a villainous character- perhaps Wile E or Elmer or Tom (of Tom & Jerry)- would imagine- in a little dream bubble- their antagonist turning into a T-bone steak?
I can't help but see that happen in every scene of those kids running from Krone. The gleefully sinister aspects of this show make it simultaneously funny yet terrifying.
Last episode I complained about one or two areas where I think they're violating the rules of terror. This episode they broke a few more; They shouldn't show the monsters in a cliche baddie-scheming-in-dark room scene, it just ruins the shock value. I'm really not sure about Norman, Emma, and Ray being so quickly able to catch on to how tracking devices work. And Ray mentioning the need of batteries etc., when their world appears to have no evidence of such technology, seems far fetched. I do like how he came to a much more brutal conclusion with that fork- about what they're going to have to do to get out.
Emma's motivations on the otherhand are more straightforward and believable. The three of them though are great as a team. It really looks like their plans to save everyone be kind of hopeless at this point.

Dang, I like how they jumped right into things I was thinking about after last episode. It is certainly making it easier to narrow down to one theory and ignore the other now.
