God damn, mama is smarter than she looks. Already knows that the two oldest know. Looks like Krone is a bit over ambitious and there is def something loose. Idk why the two smartest people would discuss murder in public.... Krone always moves like a unit.... I wonder if she will develop feelings for the children in the future and i wonder what will happen when she does.

Considering Mama and Krone were clearly outstandingly brilliant even among top-scorers to have been selected to grow to adulthood, Krone's behavior seems a little hard to believe. When you're running an operation as sensitive as this one, where even one person finding out what's going on can threaten the entire status quo, the most dangerous thing in the world is dissension in the ranks. So you'd think, in light of that, that the people in charge of the "hiring" process would screen more diligently for unchecked ambition. Krone is far too wild and free for an individual working for this sensitive an organization. Hell, she's already planning a mutiny within a couple of days of showing up.

That aside, this episode was great. I thought the tag montage was brilliant, and I loved Ray's little snub at the end, how he just appeared out of nowhere immediately after the time ran out as though he'd been tailing Krone the whole time. I had been hoping for another sheer terror moment like the ones we got in the first two episodes. The abrupt cut to Mama holding the bunny doll at the end of ep 1, and then her sudden appearance in ep 2 when Emma was looking at the spot where Connie's picture used to be on the wall -- those were absolutely incredible. I nearly jumped out of my skin both times. But despite the lack of any such moment, I found myself immediately wanting more as much as I did at the end of the previous two.

This one might finally be the one that gets me to start "reading ahead" in the manga. I can't believe I have to wait another seven whole days just to see the next 20 minutes of this story play out.

Initially I thought one of the three main protagonists was a traitor but now I guess it is someone else but not the obvious one

Can't remember when in the ep it was, but damn, that smile by Krone was cursed. As for other stuff, each new development is making this show more exciting, defo living up to the hype.

That Sister Krone is something else. I had no idea that traditionally animated characters even could dive this deep into the uncanny valley.

Yeah, I really dig what they've done with Krone. In the manga, she was mostly just creepy and egotistical, but the animation's really making use of her more showy nature to give the character so much more energy and personality, it's great! I can understand why this would be offputting to people, though, because Krone's clearly clever but she doesn't really carry herself like such. Like she's definitely a goofy threat that isn't afraid to make moves, but I actually kind-of like that about her because it makes her way more of an immediate threat than Mom, whose much more composed and calculating about things.

Like Krone feels like a good first antagonist that the kids can potentially maneuver around and have to deal with NOW while Mom feels way more like the real Final Boss, setting things up way more slowly and carefully so that, when they have to face her, it's a way more difficult encounter but will happen much later on.

Before the first episode, just from seeing preview images for this anime, I thought Emma was a boy. I still thought she was a boy even though she was wearing a skirt up until her gender was mentioned.

They're doing a good job of making Krone creepy without making her a touch racially insensitive like the manga. Not that it ever bothered me, I just know it bothered some people. Also.... BRING ON THE PHIL THEORIES ANIME ONLY PEOPLE!

The Promised Neverland Episode 3 ANN NEWS Partial quote

Then there's the issue of Sister Krone, who has shown up to serve as Mama's "assistant" and make the kids' lives complete hell—she also happens to be the cast's only significant woman of color. Anime has a checkered history when it comes to representing non-Japanese POC, and The Promised Neverland's treatment of Sister Krone doesn't do enough to break the mold. As a new character, Krone isn't half bad; she's theatrical, imposing, and physically intimidating, making for a perfect foil to Mama Isabelle. Unfortunately, her character design and mannerisms also draw from anime's tendency to fall back on racial caricatures and stereotyping. Truth be told, the anime is noticeably less severe in how it distorts Krone's exaggerated features, but it still sucks that a work as excellent as The Promised Neverland would have such an obnoxious speedbump for enjoying its artistry.

The Promised Neverland EP # 2 “131045”

That kept me on the edge of my seat

Emma and Norman try and find a way to escape and find a wall

Mom seems to be able to track the orphans and later asks them if they went to the gate

Later Ray follws them to the wall but disagrre who should escape and even more troublesome the Demons control the outside

The Promised Neverland EP # 3 – 181045

A setback as Isabella brings in Sister Krone whose room is between all the sleeping quarters

Worst yet Norman / Ray / Emma agrre there is more than one farm Emma thinks she cab find the implant Carol since she has just arrived

Our trio is right rone is an enemy and mom suspects whjo went to the gate but rather than ship them out ahead of time just keep them from escaoing as their value goes up She also competes with other “plants”

Even worst Krone is kinda of sociopath talking to doll and wants to take mother’s place

Sister Krone kinda intidimates Ray / Norman

Emma finds the implant on Carol’s ear Gilda looks on suspiciously

Mom reports to Grandma as Norman / Ray / Emma are important as they are the best products over the other plants

The orphans play tag to get evberybody stronger then sister Krone joins them as it and 20 minutes Emma is the last to captured as had two kids with her Norman escapes just as times runs out with Ray tagging Krone

Later our trio wonder why mom isnt keeping a cloes tab on them / and they suspect one of their own / which may be Gilda as she comes in last after mom / Krone

Damn... watched the third episode this morning (kinda late), it was awesome. Now that the show has introduced some more troubles for the kids it'll be really good I hope... can't wait to find out who is the spy amongst the kids. What do you think?
