I agree. Suddenly disabling it without a word caused panic and since there's no actual official statement from them it's hard to know what's actually going on.

If spam is the issue require user to be a member for so long or make it subscriber only. Or heck even just require someone be subscribed for so long then inbox is unlocked permanently. Literally anything is better than no inbox lol

This reminds me of the time when YouTube suddenly pulled the plug on the Inbox functionality of their website and replaced it with Google Plus only to later kill off that service around March 2019.

Anyone remember that?

I don't use youtube much but I think I remember that. I wanted to send PM to someone but it said I needed Google account for it.

I hope cr doesn't remove PMs. I need it.

I think my inbox have been unavaliable for atleast 6 months now. I cant for my life understand how fixing the inbox can take so long time.

That sucks. Most of us have only had it unavailable for a couple of months. I'm getting annoyed with a few months of it being gone. I can't imagine how you'd feel at six months.

Pretty sure they have no idea what they are doing or simply don't care.
Ever since the buy out we basically don't get responses from staff anymore, it's like the website is running on autopilot.

I have been a member of CR for about 10 years. Between their **** android app and now this?

I apologise for the late response since I am not feeling good, but I agree with you two. There used to be a time when shinji discussed in the General forums what was being discontinued from the site, but I suppose this situation with the Inbox will be ignored since there is new management handling Crunchyroll. I suppose with persistence from the members we may convince the developers to reconsider or give us an answer despite the long wait.
