For starters, a shutdown implies the lack of one of the two parties to be reasonable about a certain topic (i.e. wall) so in order to close it you might think about a topic that would give you a fierce defense of a political side.

Given that, I'd be willing to force a shutdown to pressure for a full educational reform of the US, as well as a full ban on lobbying.

about every president has forced a shutdown or gotten close to it. granted one has never lasted this long and if it lasts much longer there's going to be a lot of homeless and starving poverty level people, not to mention the rest of the country is going to have some issues. when parties can't decide on something then a shutdown comes close or happens. that's just history of politics.

From what I know, only Government / Federal Employee's don't get paid. And some of them make good money. Problem number one is working a government job.
