I think the most bizarre thing I’ve done regarding drugs was smoking hookah. People say you’re suppose to taste the favor... there wasn’t any flavor, just the feeling of sand going down my throat, which bring me to my next question

How do people get over the feeling of smoking enough to become addicted? Same thing with alcohol. Is it like tasting cheese? No matter how stinky and foul it is, you just keep eating it because that’s what it is suppose to taste like? Are adults posh people who like torturing their lungs and taste buds?

I've had lots of alcohol and it still tastes like garbage. At least I can enjoy smoking somewhat, the sensation is interesting enough once it doesn't feel like it's destroying your throat.

anything can be addicting, smoking is gross, but there are chemicals that stir further chemicals in the brain. same with sugar, caffeine, drugs, drinking... and of course there are cases of genetics passing some "addicting" agent such as to gambling or drinking. the smartest is to never try, the second smartest is to stop something that can be harmful to your system both short and long term. moderation isn't always possible. and yes there are help groups and professionals there, however, as always, one wants help before they can get help.

I dont know how people can vape, seriously, and they think its better than smoking?

Theres no way I can smoke cigarettes because theyre nasty, and the only alcohol I enjoy is good beer and scotch.

Nothings really addicting to me. Smoking weed is off and on, but if you ever smoke weed, theres multiple benifits for you. I know youll say, no theres not, but you have to realize, it can relax your body, mind and muscles, it can relieve some pain.

It can also make mundane tasks like shoveling snow 100x better, especially when you have some music playing , its magical. Which is what I'm going to have to do today.

Even drawing sometimes, you really start to go through hundreds of ideas to put down. Ill be drawing and still focusing on my other stories in greater detail, different faces and ideas, motions

If for some reason I needed to stop smoking weed, I'd stop. Its not hard, you just stop, detox your body, live life like you would normaly. Thats the beautiful thing about it

Its the people who rely on it every hour of the day who have a problem, perma fried, you cant even communicate with them, while I go out and live a normal life of responsability, they cant function without it.

People allow themselves to become defeated. You arent as strong of a person as you think you are if you need something in your life for the sake of filling that void in your life. I am a void so I see the importance of a happy life

Like anything else you get accustomed to the taste and the feeling. That being said I usually only drink and smoke quality shit because I prefer to taste the good stuff. I dont smoke cigarettes anymore though as i find the smell and taste not to my liking.

I think you probably did not smoke hookah very effectively. You're not supposed to smoke drugs with it in the first place. Yes, you can mix marijuana into the shisha, but it's a very inefficient use of it and will affect the taste.

Also if you didn't taste the flavor at all, I would think something probably was very wrong with your set up or you had really crappy shisha.

Seriously, don't screw around with addictive substances. You don't even have to like something to become addicted to it. If you are going to play with drugs stick with something relatively benign like cannabis or caffeine so that the damage you do to yourself is limited.

Stay away from tobacco and booze. Despite being legal they are both actually very dangerous drugs with a high rate of addiction and mortality. I was one of the party people back in the day and we played with just about everything under the sun and now all these years later do you know which drugs it is that have killed and crippled the largest number of my friends and family? It's booze and cancer sticks. Even the powders didn't take out as many of us. Also on that subject, pretty much ANY drug you snort or have to inject is an extremely bad idea.

Eh? Many cheeses are quite lovely, no idea what you're on about there.

While some alcohol may be more of an acquired taste, there are many kinds that are readily approachable, or whose flavor you're already accustomed to. For instance, I've had root beers that were indistinguishable from the sort you can get from a soda fountain. To the degree that if someone switched my drink for one at a party I probably wouldn't realize until I felt the alcohol's effects - which sounds quite dastardly, actually.

I suspect that most smokers get started as a result of being around smokers as a kid. I had to spend a lot of time around chain smokers during part of my childhood and nearly took up smoking during my early teens as a result. Thankfully, I never took up the habit.

Maybe you weren't rotating the coals properly with your hookah I smoked cigarettes and cigarillos a bunch of times in highschool and the year after thankfully i never got addicted. You say you didn't like shisha but that's the only thing I would smoke besides weed and I wouldnt smoke shisha often but it's pretty relaxing. Weed is great but I would say all things in moderation if I dont think about I can smoke weed and drink alcohol everynight
I didn't enjoy drinking until a year ago I used to hate the taste but I started experimenting with different drinks over months and ended up acquiring a taste for it. I love me some beer a year ago I hated the taste. I haven't done any other drugs I had a friend die from a cocaine overdose drugs are bad man.

For alcohol, it's an acquired taste. When I was young, beer tasted disgusting, but the older I got the more I enjoyed it. Now, I have one or 2 everyday. You might end up the same, or not. My sister is 23 and she's never had a sip of alcohol.
