There's a series of webnovels online called The Deathworlders , it's basically a story about humanity finding out by accident that we are to most aliens in the Galaxy what Superman would be to us i.e. nigh unstoppable and downright terrifying, all because Earth is actually particularly nasty as far as habitable planets go, what with the high gravity (it's normal to us!), the violent predators (they still get us every now and then just look at Yellowstone), the background radiation (the aliens freak out when they realize what they consider to be deadly radiation burns from staying in the sun too long is only mildly painful and annoying for us), the extreme weather (you actually chase violent vortexes of 200+ kph winds across the prairie?! You INTENTIONALLY FLY INTO TROPICAL STORM SYSTEMS 100 KILOMETERS ACROSS FOR SCIENCE?!)and all the microbes and bacteria (our immune systems are the best in the galaxy). All the while the humans are completely clueless of this because we've never left Earth so the galaxy's extreme is our normal.

While it would make a great live-action show, I feel like animation would be the better avenue for telling the story in a visual media, just because there are some things (i.e. elements of semi-realistic space travel, certain alien species, as well as the digital datascape of the Hierarchy and the sheer Herculean physicality of the guys in the Spaceborne Operations Regiment) that would be difficult to show in live-action without millions of dollars in production budget.

Hmm, maybe Hitchhiker's Guide. That's got plenty of content to work with. I want a nice long run

Hmmmm here my take
Fantasy: Warhammer Fantasy, say border princes or maybe a dog of war company to see all that it has to offer. Wheel of Time would be awesome, Or Maybe the Cast in series would be neat to as anime.
Modern: JIm butcher Harry Dresden,Mercy Thompson would be another one, vampire the masquerade 2nd edition or werewolf 2nd edition would be neat.
Future: Starship Troopers,Lost fleet,40k series (they did do a movie anime that sucked), star wars original trilogy like the black fleet crisis,etc....
Biggest thing I would want is a serious take. Sure throw humor in here or there but make a solid gut wrenching story. I would also love another story or follow up on Full metal alchemist story. I like both equally well. I'm curios to here more story in that world.

I started reading CHEW and omg, it begs an anime adaptation

Do you mean the comic book about a cop who gets psychic impressions from eating? I read the first few issues of that and would love to see an adaptation of any sort, animated or otherwise. (I've actually seen a TV show about a zombie coroner who ate the brains of murder victims to solve cases, but I think CHEW did it better, lol)

Yes, that same one!! I would just die to see an animated fight of POYO!
