The heck. Please don't refer me to some Viz site because CR has high traffic issues. I am not going to pay more money to get all these other channels. Though I already pay money, what I would be willing to pay more money for is to not get "Error Whatevered" or "Our shinobi are working on it" when I pause the video to like make a comment, or try to go to the next ep when I am binging. Sure, there is the possibility that because I watch an average of more than 6 hrs/day, I could be doing something wrong like taking up too much time and I need to share some of this bandwidth time with others, if so tell me directly instead of just being kicked off. Otherwise, this seems like it may be a case, found in "Business 101", (I am am not a business'er, and even I know about this) of expanding beyond your ability to meet demand. Maybe you might need to get some more shinobi's. Like I said, I would be willing to help pay for it.

I'm not logged into my paid account, but the last two days has been laughable at best. Error 503, shinobi at work, however you want to pass the message it is not on when we are paying for a service. Then you all don't have the professionalism to make a public statement about what is going on, or an apology. If you need to be down for a few hours to update give the proper notice. It's bad enough you laid in bed with the devil named Funimation, they suck alone, and it looks like they are dragging you down with them.

I have been a paid subscriber for many years and after receiving the high traffic notice, I can’t even log on. Very annoying.

I watched 1 ep today and it still told me to go to VRV because I refreshed the page so no worries.
Even if it was about time spent, I would be pissed if they told me there was a cap on how much content I could consume.

With all the things coming out about the back end of Crunchyroll claims that it's slowly being abandoned. With the mis-steps over and over again this last year. It should be past times with nearly a week of rolling service outages to tell us. What they are doing to improve the service? Why this sever issues keep happening? What they are doing to prevent them? A sort of State of the site is past due.

I've been paying for Premium since 2012, and (for the most part) had been decently satisfied with it.

However, the quality of CR's site and services seem to have really declined in the last few years (not so coincidentally, right around the time VRV started). The HTML5 player, for example, was only (finally) rolled out in direct response to pent up community outrage. Which really does reinforce the impression that they are entirely focused on VRV, and will no longer invest into CR's future unless their hand is forced.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of it. I'll probably give CR another 6 months to get their act together, and if there hasn't been noteworthy improvement by then I'll most likely cancel my annual subscription. I won't be switching to VRV.

I think we all realise that services to have problems from time to time, and as long as the customers know something is being done, most people are okay with it.
What is not acceptable is for Crunchyroll to only acknowledge to problem 4 days after it starts happening, and by the looks of it, the only reason you even bothered to do that was in response to a tweet from AniplexUSA.

I would like to know what you intend to do about crediting us back for this 3-4 days of lost service?

I don't really frequent the site as I watch on PS4 but I have been on in the last couple of weeks more often just to shoot the breeze in the Forum Games / Chit Chat section of the forums and man, with how the site has been crashing recently I can only imagine how irked I'd be if it was my primary resource for viewing anime.

Sad to say but it doesn't seem like anyone with any influence reads through the complaints and suggestions here so Tweeting at them en masse might be the best course of action.

VRV isn't Viz, it is owned by the same company as Crunchyroll, and you can link your account for Crunchyroll to VRV so that you can still watch anime when Crunchyroll goes down

That's not an excuse for the crappy state that Crunchyroll has been in for the past week, but at least it gives you an option to still watch the shows you want to watch.

I hop around, but CR is currently having some issues. it's a website that works in real time, implying that it's going to have issues. people complain where there are issues, then people complain that they shut down a site for a short bit to fix the errors. seems they can't make everyone happy here, so, until then wait patiently. they are trying to fix the issues, it just takes time.
