I enjoy Yes, and some Jethro Tull, but I'd say Kansas is my favorite Prog Rock band.

So either Ray Dawn is in on this plot, or Wolfram is a double agent who informed Ray Dawn of the plan, and Ray Dawn will be swooping in to save the Emperor and Wolfram may be double crossing Diese. Even if Ray Dawn comes to the rescue, it might not be out of loyalty to the Emperor, but trying to increase his status and remove his last competition from the scene. We haven't seen a thing about Veronica in quite a while, nor Sweetie for that matter. So we don't know what Ray Dawn's motivation was for burning Veronica and Marlya's village. We don't know Sweetie's motivations either.

I wonder if this cour will end with this rebellion and the second cour will dive into the Sweetie and Veronica stories.

Well...there you go. Seems like I called Ray Dawn swooping in at the end...probably not out of loyalty though, and yeah, looks like this cour ends with the rebellion. So we have to get more Sweetie and Veronica next cour, and probably hunting down Liscar and his crew.

It seems like Diese was saying that the Prime Minister who was a king before unification used the emperor as a puppet to cause the war for unification, and is basically still using the emperor as a puppet and running things.

Ugh this has gotten stupid Beevee (or whatever his name is) just walking slowly out in the open with his squad all clustered tightly behind him and no one with a gun can come even close to hitting them is beyond ridiculous as is them all freezing in fear and lettting him cut them down. You have a gun he is 30 feet away SHOOT HIM! Then it was even dumber when they ambushed them and all stood around and watched while Free took him on one on one. Marlya took ONE lousy shot, and missed What's the point of carrying around that big rifle if you can't even snipe someone you have the jump on at point blank range? This world having guns should never have happened, all the fairy soldiers should have been taken out by snipers a long time ago. Sword fights can be cool, sadly these aren't. He blocked your stab by letting the blade go through his arm, why would you let go of that sword? (also kids if you are ever stabbed don't pull the blade out until you're at the hospital, a lot of the time the pressure is keeping your arteries from pumping out all your blood and sending you into shock)
Not even going to try to get into the politics because in the week between episodes I completely forget which old man is which and who they're for or against.
This show wants to look so cool but it tries way to hard, everyone strolling around with their perfectly quaffed hair is actually more funny than cool, they all look like they're models posing for photo shoots. The cgi fairies are just pointless. Really doubt I stick around for a second cour.

Have to agree, my 'Suspension of disbelief' was broken in the last two episodes and dropped a few points. Shame. Poor execution on that.

I was under the impression the fairies had some sort of aura effect as in able to manifest itself to block shots Jojo star platinum style, would have made it a lot more bad ass with the tight formation and the guys fairy swatting away bullets and put more importance on the special weapons being needed, they really dropped the ball man. They really didn't need the stormtrooper aim.

Exactly, they had the perfect "out" for him doing something like that if he had his fairy protecting him but like I said they instead choose to make the fairies pointless.

"Damn that was a shitty decision" or "this is stupid" is how I watch or read things these days. It keeps my expectations low enough that I get excited when something slightly fun or interesting comes along.

The show now continues on Funimation: https://www.funimation.com/shows/fairy-gone/rain-sounds-crime-and-white-snows-punishment/?qid

Episode 13

It's backstory time as this show continues explaining Marlya's childhood as she lived in a village and she didn't know her parents as they died shortly after she was born. Thus, she's an outcast as a "cursed child", but she shed that feeling when she met Veronica. And then the village got attacked and it's thanks to Jurgens and Monika that she was able to survive. I can see why Veronica became the person she is as it's all about revenge against Ray Dawn for orchestrating the attack, and that's why Marlya and Veronica are on opposite sides of the battlefield.

Well, this is one of the better episodes and this should have been shown much earlier in the series than at the start of the second half seeing that Marlya's character development was so poorly handled. It didn't help that Veronica only showed up at the most convenient of times. Anyway, it's a good thing P.A. Works took a break as the storywriting was just a mess in the first half, and it felt like they were trying to play catchup with the production. Hopefully, things will improve moving forward as the first half was just a waste of technical merit.

I can't say I feel much sympathy for the adults of Suna Village.....they sacrificed children to appease out of control fairy possessed animals and treated Marlya like a Pariah. This is the first time they showed that Ray Dawn murdered the entire village though, before it looked as if he just burned it. He is a fanatic that needs to be destroyed for sure.

The show hasn't shaken its propensity to jump around in the timeline though. We now need more backstory on what happened to Veronica after she parted with Marlya and more Background on Sweetie.

Episode 14

Things make a lot more sense now after that episode as Veronica is hellbent on making Ray Dawn pay with his life, but Marlya doesn't believe in revenge. Those ideals come clashing as Veronica tries to kill Ray Dawn by blowing up the bridge, but that didn't do it. And a bunch of fighting breaks out with Free and Wolfram fighting, all while Marlya chases after Veronica to try and use words to convince her to back out of her revenge. Of course, it doesn't do anything as Veronica is not seeing the whole picture the way Marlya does. It's good to see Veronica getting much more involved here seeing that she factor prominently into the grand scheme of things in the first season.

Hopefullu Ray Dawn gets his just desserts one way or another.

I don't think Marlya doesn't believe in revenge, I think she's just scared Veronica will die in the process.

We still have to find out how she escaped her imprisonment.

Episode 15

It's back to HQ as Dorothea makes their next move by rounding up Arcame members looking for clues. And that brings them to Christoph Rahn, who was one of the ringleaders in Diese's attack. While that's going on, Marlya and Free are dealing with personal issues, and especially Marlya over Ozz's death seeing that she has been a crybaby for most of this show, but her colleagues are doing everything they can to help her out. And just when they thought that they had a lead, somebody killed Christoph, so it's back to square one. An interesting detective case is going on here seeing that a lot of crap is happening.
