There's an actual disease called Osteogenesis imperfecta or Brittle Bone Disease where your bones are so delicate that fractures can appear without real cause to. Symptoms can appear mild to severe. There's no cure and limited treatment. If mild, then yes you can be active. If severe, you'll most likely be bed ridden for your whole life. So it depends on how severe the disease is.

even Mr Glass got around just extra super careful, so it's possible. to be fair, bones are brittle as we age, certain medication (long/short) as well as certain diseases. so, even though these things transpire they still get around, even being careful something still breaks. granted I wouldn't be out mowing my yard or anything like that, but I would be careful and still enjoy life.

I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs, and every afternoon I break my arms. At night, I lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep.

If the glass can be shatter resistant, then that will be interesting. Doing specific activities that require arduous and physical encounters or reproduction will be low considering the risk of severely breaking your bones.

Low impact exercise such as walking, swimming, and cycling seem like they'd still be on the table unless we're talking a level of fragility where I effectively can't even apply minimal force to my bones or joints without them breaking. At that point it's not a matter of whether I'd choose to still be active or not. I simply wouldn't have the option to be.
