I was expecting it to be a short but it's full-length.

First episode was ok. Some of the jokes were a hit and some fell flat. Toucan is insane and I felt bad for Lizard and his tail. It made me laugh when they both thought Big Cat was angry at them.

The Africa JK segments at the end made me laugh.

It's not as good as I thought it would be. I'll still keep watching.

I like the ED.

Episode 1

The opening sequence had me thinking that I was watching Lion King. But nope, these animals are working everyday jobs in a version of Africa that looks just like Tokyo. Toucans in this show sure love to hit on the girls, and that's what makes the bird stand out. That was very funny as I was laughing quite a lot there, especially when the Toucan is involved, and I especially like that mixer bit. That said, the animation is just tough on the eyes, especially with the bloody scenes. Given the production team and the premise, I was expecting it to be a half-length show, but it's a full-length, and I think that this show would work much better as a short series.

The first disappointment of the season for me . I was really looking forward to it but that adaptation was rough. I like the concept, especially that one of the characters has children but the execution wasn't good. I don't like the pacing, I don't like the voice acting, the animation was horrible and there is often no transition at all. Most of it felt like we were jumping from panel to panel without anything to tie those scenes together.
And I almost renewed my Wakanim subscription because I was sure I'd like this one (now I'm just glad I didn't ).

Looks rather interesting, a different take on comedy anime. Who knows, maybe I'll see some mild black comedy somewhere in this anime.

I didn't know anything about this one before watching it, so I was surprised that it wasn't a short, it had that look to it. I enjoyed it though, and thought it was funny. Something to watch on Sundays even if just to kill time. How can anyone tolerate Toucan? It was fun, but I agree that it would probably work better as a short.

Toucan is an asshole, and almost everything about that episode was gross and mostly not funny to me. These days I'm actually pretty pleased to find shows that I can easily say "nope" to after just one episode though, as I have less time for watching anime anyway.

Episode 2

Lions are big eaters, but even so this guy packed on way too many pounds. Who knew it was possible to have a shouting match using smartphones? Well two of Toucan's girlfriends got at each other. And in this world, kappas do exist, and her way of speaking doesn't match her appearance at all. And then an employee escapes only to be captured again. After all that, the Lion and friends feel like they want new jobs. This show continues to be funny as those animals sure are doing weird things. While the solid continues to be funny, having to put up with that awful animation style is another thing.

Toucan is less annoying in this episode.

I love the company president. That segment made me laugh.

Episode 3

And Toucan does something that's so him. First, using Fakebook to get the girls, then saving a spot for flower viewing a full day in advance skipping work to make it happen, using the EDM dance rave to get a girlfriend, and eating chicken bringing up the issue of cannibalism. But at the flower viewing party, there's a corpse of a fellow toucan as the lethal hamster strikes to kill his coworker. And a funeral happens during the party. Once again, Toucan's antics are pretty funny, and while it's part of his nature, it's the situations he got himself into that are amusing.

I hope we see more of Lethal Hamster.

Episode 4

First Fakebook, and now Haagen-Duck. But no Haagen-Duck for the Lion without seeing the dentist seeing that his teeth are not right. It sucks to be his dentist seeing that he's one tough patient to work with. Toucan isn't cut out to be a mascot, so Lizard goes searching, and a bunch of them just don't cut it like that apple bunny, penguin, and that melon hyena, or simply don't want to like that old turtle. Pretty funny stuff there as these guys just have trouble deciding who should be the mascot.

I liked the dentist segment.

Sugita as the Apple Bunny was hilarious.

Ishida is also great as the Company President.

Apparently the English Dub is funny so I'll probably check it out once the series has finished.
