Is there anything I’m missing with only a Crunchyroll account? Anime suggestions?

I have Netflix and Amazon Prime too, but I’ve never really used them.

Are there any MUST SEE anime I’m missing out on? I usually watch all this season’s anime. I like basically everything but mecha, Gundam etc.

I’m running out of ideas for an anime to watch, and don’t want to resort to rewatching Stellvia of the Universe for the 10,000th time. Those DVDs are gonna get rent soon.

Thanks y’all.

Well, I just said “anything”. From Slice of Life to Horror. Just no mecha.

Charlotte was good. I like cute shoujo, to action packed shounen. I just don’t like JoJo because of the art. :/

Dororo, Vinland Saga, Blade of the Immortal on Amazon

older stuff on Amazon like Boarding School Juliet, Love is Hard for Otaku, Irodoku, Grand Blue Dreaming.

Did you watch Violet Evergarden on Netflix?

Wasteful Days of High School Girls on HIDIVE is the most hilarious anime I have seen in years

THANK YOU. Violent Evergarden. That’s the EXACT anime I was looking for, I just couldn’t remember the name or what it was about!! Just that I was told I HAD to watch it.

I also love sad anime. Love is hard for otaku, boarding school juliet, etc, I have the manga and I’ve seen the anime. I’m 30 so I’ve seen a bit, bit, but a period between 2012 and 2018 I didn’t watch ANYTHING.

I didn’t even watch One Piece as a kid……… Because of the flipping art. I feel so stupid. Don’t worry, I binged it and I’m caught up. Was almost done with Whole Cake Island right as Wano came up. I’ll watch Wasteful Days of High School Girls. Sounds right up my alley too.

Thanks everyone.

Are you? I don't know. If you're not based in the US getting a VPN is a good start.

Then there's also Funimation streaming which has gone international not long ago.

Once you have that just browse their anime.

I just watched the first three episodes of Babylon (the anime) on Amazon Prime today. Looooooooooooooooooved it!!!!!!! It's about a Special Police Division getting taken from a everyday run of the mill corporate fraud case into much much more (murder, prostitution, conspiracy, etc). It has the same feel for me that Banana Fish (also on Amazon Prime) had but on a much bigger stage.

Also, if you want to watch something totally feel good Carole and Tuesday on Netflix is amazing. Expelled from Paradise (isn't actually a mecha anime at all despite the trailer trying to make it look like one), A Silent Voice (very well done dramatic film) and Mary and the Witch's Flower are all great movies too. Little Witch Academia and Seven Deadly Sins are fun shows too.

since you have premium at the moment (CR), here's a gem that's being passed over at the moment Time of Eve. I found it when I got a guest pass and have to say, it's rather good, short around 15 minutes a pop and reflects how society is turning towards AI acceptance vs non acceptance.

I'm at a loss as to how people can be running out of something with so many choices. there's a random tab at the top, check the alphabetical section and if anything catches your eye upon reading about it, and check out sites such as My Anime List or Anime Planet to see further details if need be. I still have over 900 anime to watch and that list rarely drops below 900 due to always finding something new. as for the other sites, they should have an anime selection, animated... granted Prime can be a bit of a trick to travel around in, but there should be some site that lists what drops to where. I tend to use TV Guide online when it comes to month to month drop to Hulu and Netflix.

I almost forgot, you may also want to check out Vinland Saga, Karakuri Circus, Grimoire of Zero, UQ Holder, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (the series) and Princess Principal on Amazon if you haven't had the opportunity to see them.

Netflix got the follow up movie to Kabaneri but split it into a 3-episode series too.

On Amazon:
Made in Aybss was freaking amazing, you have to watch past the first three episodes and then sh*t goes down.
Dororo was one of my favorites this year.
Blade of the Immortal is my favorite of the season so far.
Girl's Last Tour is very sad.

Netflix:
A Silent Voice
K - I love this series and never hear anyone talk about it
Nura: Rise of the Yoki Clan
Durarara!!

Aside from the sites already mentioned, give Ani.Me a try. It’s free and legal so you don’t have to worry about that. They might have some stuff that you haven’t seen yet
