it sounds to me like nothing will change. unless the corporate take over changed, CR will continue to sit on what it has now and not fix the problem it created.

IMO the update shouldn't have rolled out until the features that existed were in the update.

sorry, but having a watched show at the top of the queue is bad user experience.

^ You are right, they should have waited until they had done more testing, and stuff was actually ready to be rolled out instead of pushing testing onto the customers... for sure... >_>

Same exact thing happened to the HTML5 player vs the unofficial HTML5 player. They shut that down half a year ago now and only JUST finally fixed the crucial bits that the viewers had been, not just asking for, but begging for.. Whereas their official HTML5 player has been around and in beta for 4 or 5? ish years now I believe? Lol.

Or at least some sort of forewarning... Taking us off guard and destroying peoples hard worked on queue's like that was very uncool...
For example, my Queue is now a jumbled mess of some 250 shows... lol... Yeah, just try sorting that BS again -_-'

However, it is quite evident that they are indeed trying to work on it non the less, Just in the last couple days they finally managed to fix their HTML5 player somewhat. I've noticed less overall buffering, and the player now remembers settings like autoplay on/off, and setting the resolution, where it didn't just a couple days ago.

All be it at a snails pace, they are improving things.. Hopefully it wont take years for them to update the queue system, as it took them to "fix" the HTML5 player. ( Which took many years.. ;>.> )

Is anyone having trouble adding shows to their queue still? I couldn't yesterday, but it seems I can ... except for one specific show. It's bizarre.

agreed with a bunch others that we should have been notified prior to the update or at least shortly thereafter. most of us were left with a 'wtf' is going on.

hopefully the next update is coming and we can get the manual sorting back.. this is frustrating

How long will we have to wait till this new queue system that is only half completed to be fixed or finished and will the finished version include custom sorting. Because it seems everyone's in agreement the old system was better and the customizable feature is what we want. Not new sorting options like alphabetical or number of episodes. Customization should be the number one focus for the next part to be put back. According to your actual user base. The favorites function doesn't work the same or even close to customizing.

My queue has been absolutely broken and inaccessible on the web version for months. I can't even load the darn page much less sort it. Gateway time-out is what I get every time. I have submitted ticket after ticket and keep getting told to do the same things that didn't fix it the first time!

What specific show is that? When you look at its show page do you actually see any episodes? Does the indicator there look like it's in your queue and it's just that you don't actually see it on your queue page? I ask this because the show pages for some shows still exist even though Crunchyroll no longer has episodes (and you can get to show pages even when no episodes of that show are available in your region), and while you can technically add these to your queue, you won't actually see them on your queue page if there aren't any episodes available at all or for your region.

It's Full Metal Panic.

Yes, I found this out. I started the first episode to make sure (even though I could see all the episodes, I wanted to make sure I wasn't insane). So now it's my history, so I guess that's a way to access it.

Can you at least fix it so that the queue on the PC website syncs correctly with the app version.

Thank you for the update. An official announcement has been long overdue. I am looking forward to having my sort functionality back and having it flow to app versions as well.

I hope that you will continue to keep you customer base informed as this roll-out progresses. Communication is always key.

First post translation:
"We want our customers to have a universal experience, so instead of upgrading our inferior Android and iOS mobile apps, we've decided to downgrade all other formats. All the planning and thoughtful categorization of manual sorting was too useful so that had to go. Because everyone knows when you improve something, you must remove the best functions."

Crunchyroll is taking the Youtube approach to site updates, I see. Making things worse in the short-term to make it roughly as good as it was previously later without really improving much at all.
