we can't complain about the queue if there is no queue....I guess?

wiped clean too, history as well, I keep track of what I'm watching so I'm not thaat stuck,
but this whole thing is so ill executed

My queue disappeared, then reappeared, but doesn't seem to update properly when I watch something. History looks fine, just the queue. What the heck?

Does anyone know if creating a script or extension to give me my sortable queue back is against ToS? I saw some wording about not being allowed to "interfere with or disrupt (or attempt to interfere with or disrupt) any webpages on the Site" and don't want to break ToS. I don't know if locally rearranging and locally adding HTML is considered "interfer[ing]" since nothing would be sent back to the servers. However, I may or may not have made something to currently have a sortable queue again depending on the answer.

They might just pull a youtube and keep the downgrade, hoping people will forget about this.

Considering they thought downgrading the site was smart to begin with, I definitely wouldn't put it past them.

Okay, is it just me or is this new queue system completely broken? Like, I was willing to be reasonable because the current pandemic might be causing them to have less hands than usual, but coming to this thread and seeing there hasn't been a response in over a month? That's trying my patience.

For example, I can't get to every title in my queue! They just cut off with no reason! Why can't I see all the titles I've added? That makes no sense! The sorting system also doesn't work. I set it to Date Added and literally five titles I added recently were on the top instead of the first series I added to my queue! Why is Eizoken, which I just added a few minutes ago, now on top of Ace Attorney which I added back in 2016? Also, why can't I remove series from the queue itself? I don't want some of these titles in here anymore because I never want to watch them again?

Again, I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt and assume that CR staff has been unable to be active as usual due to circumstances out of their control. But reading the thread and seeing that they're bad at delivering on things is making me think twice about continuing my service here. I don't use the website for a few months due to lack of interest in the Winter anime and this is what I come back to? What the hell?

On the far right of each show box there is a down caret (like a letter "V"). Click that and there is a link to remove the series from your queue.

The remainder of your post are all valid complaints.

I already unsubscribed a month ago. A service that I pay for (that the prices went UP for recently, too!) that has less content thanks to the loss of the Funimation Partnership and other licenses to Amazon/Hulu/Netflix/etc that can't even get the hint when dozens upon dozens of their users go to their forum to complain about a badly executed (and BROKEN) update deserves to have users unsubscribe. Temporarily if they fix the problem, permanently if they don't. They even removed the Forum button from the top of the website so that they could hide the fact that users are pissed off with the fact that they have broken significantly more than they've fixed.

You get to keep your Crunchyroll membership for the remainder of the subscription period, too, so if people still wanted ad-free content, they could still unsubscribe to get Crunchyroll's attention. One or two or three ticked off users isn't going to cut it, though.

Why did it take over a month for this statement to be released? Please just use the tools that the site already has to put out these statements in a way that's actually visible instead of just tucking them away in a forum post. Most free services communicate better than this.

But thanks for the update.

EDIT: I'm not sure if the forum actually let me reply to the right post but it was meant to go to the CR Admin post about the queue from 2/12/2020.

New season starting up highlights how bad the sorting options were even more. Just adding stuff to my "queue" buries the shows I'm currently watching that aren't done yet/I haven't caught up to yet.

You usually have the develop, test and production environments for a reason, should probably consider using them instead of removing functionality in production to add in something that is clearly not done yet.

This update is awful. I'm only just now noticing it after adding new stuff to my queue. I'm dissatisfied. Please revert it. Stop trying to fix things that aren't broken by breaking them even more.

It was downgrading the queue combined with a simultaneous price increase that prompted me to drop Netflix around 10 years ago. Not that I never watch Netflix anymore, I just haven't payed them a dime in 10 years.
My subscription is up in September, I'll make my decision on what to do with Crunchyroll then. As things are looking now, I may not be giving crunchy any more money either.

I also unsubscribed over this which is really such a shame with the pandemic and lock down I can't imagine how many new users and old users they are losing and turning away due to this horrible "upgrade"
