Looks like watched videos aren't recognized anymore in the queue or history. With all the programming outsourced and wuhan virus restrictions everywhere we'll be lucky to see this fixed by the end of the month.

Looks like clearing out my history lets the queue update what was watched. Unfortunately, now it thinks i haven't watched anything!

with covid 19 shutting down all new anime from being added youd think they would focus on fixing the website so they dont lose even more customers. personally im glad i left crunchyroll after this queue crap. id come back in a heartbeat if they fixed it but it seems they dont care about revenue or attracting customers.

Same! I don't want whatever I watched last to get bumped to the top of my queue, and I cannot STAND the fact that two months later the sort options are STILL broken. If you try to use them, they only show the first 50 shows. When you have one or two hundred shows on your queue, that's just bull.

And legit, it's just god-awful programming. They're either creating an array with only 50 elements or they're using a for loop that's just 1-50 (or 0-49). Like, my dude, that is obviously unfinished. That's something someone would do during testing their code. WHY was that pushed onto users?!

I never even used manual sort to begin with, so DATE ADDED should be literally exactly the same as how my queue was before. But it's not! I added Tsuritama in January and it claims that Tsuritama is the first thing I ever added onto my queue!

The visual design plus the actual code is just garbage. Companies who antagonize their customers deserve to fail, and that includes Crunchyroll. If the 201 replies to this forum post about how we all HATE this update can't push them to fix even the most blatant of issues, then they deserve to lose every customer they have. It's a shame because I have an insane amount of respect for the fact that this is a company that translates dozens of anime week by week and makes them available to customers within an hour of them airing in Japan, but this is a WEB-based company. If you can't maintain a WEBSITE, you're out.

What I think the queue needs is 5 tabs. 1. the old layout back. 2. finished watching. 3. currently watching. 4. never watched. 5. favourites.

They have money to rent a fancy play ground office but not enough to hire in house programmers who care. Instead for the last few years now all the programming for this site(when they weren't being told to pay attention only to the VRV site) are outsourced to Moldavia.

On top of that, there's a good chance CR and VRV will get absorbed into the new HBO Max service in short order.

Also, there could be 2,000 posts on this thread and hardly anyone at CR will care as they have reduced the amount of moderators and buried the forums to the point that most new users probably aren't aware it's even here.

I just don't understand how or who they do have working for Web design even a freshman in college for Web design knows how to avoid these basic pitfalls this site keeps falling into. You don't implement full website change for new features until you test it fully or do small scale beta tests. You also definately never half update a feature. Coding is complex you can break a website or feature with a single misplaced period or typo. Breaking coding updates into parts increases these risks and when you go to update that "second half" your just as likely if not more to lose/break the first half making it an all or nothing feature again.

In short bad web designers, bad coders, bad hiring , bad marketing, bad release, bad press, bad everything.

So, haha... I e-mailed CR like a year ago and suggested that it would be highly desirable to have a queue that was highly customizable. IE. Being able to sort by title, release date, production studio, etc...

Lo and behold, they took my suggestion and totally made a fucking mess out of it.

Hey all of a sudden my Crunchyroll updates on my Android Tv and I can’t even stream anime anymore. What’s up with this update? It’s buggy and irritating. Everything loads slower than before, it closes my crunchyroll app and it lags everytime you to to move left right up or down. What’s up with this???

Adding to the long list of problems with this site, can you knock it off with the spoiler-filled "episode recap" articles in the news section? Every week they post the latest plot twist from Ascendance of a Bookworm, and I get spoiled because I didn't have time to watch it right away. I'm seriously going to remove this site from my bookmarks and never come back if you're going to keep making us put up with this.

I’m not liking the new UI update on the AndroidTV. It’s clunkier and laggy. I liked the previous UI. It wasn’t the prettiest but it was nice and simple. At least put the My List on the front page like Netflix does. The biggest issue is that now my tv does not recognize that the app is streaming. After about 15 minutes in, my TV thinks it’s been idle and turns on the screensaver, the audio is still playing in the back. I hit enter to “wake up” the tv but it exits the app and goes back to the home screen. Please, please fix this.
