So you're making us deal with a shitty system for months so you can make a "better" one? Why not, you know, make the system THEN implement it? The thing normal people with brains would do. Just put the old queue back.

The original post doesn't specifically mention if manual queue sorting will ever return (it mentions "new" watchlist sorting methods). In the 7 years I've been using crunchyroll I've only made one other forum post, but I found this post specifically to let the crunchyroll staff know we need manual queue sorting. Adding more queue features would be wonderful since there's lots of ways to improve it and it is a bit rudimentary, but please don't remove this crucial feature permanently.

Finally an update on the queue.
And finally some changes for the forgotten AndroidTV app. That app haven't been updated in years.

Glad to hear this isn't final, and more improvements are in the works, but I hope the ability to manually sort our queue will return. I like things ordered the way I had them. I'm more concerned that a lot of tokusatsu/anime I had in my queue disappeared, though. I sure hope they'll return when you're finished implementing these improvements.

"Look, guys, we want to put pepperoni on this pizza. We really do! Step one: scrape off all the cheese and tomato sauce. That way we can go forward with the pepperoni plan, and maybe at some point re-add the cheese? We're not really going to commit to that point though."

Thanks for the update but it really would've been nice to tell everybody it was coming first. Even a tweet from your Twitter account would've sufficed.

I don't know why the sort functionality had to be removed from the live production site. I am in IT and that's what dev & test site environments are for, developing and testing new features. It makes no sense to me that it has to be removed from production and not replaced. I enjoy CR very much but I agree with other posters regarding the notification and the way it was handled could have been better. It certainly isn't a positive change experience as I use that functionality which is now gone. Can you put it back? Please?

You guys need some help with your software development if you have to remove something before being able to rollout new features. Ever heard of switchable features?

This current way that you are attempting to do incremental feature provisioning is creating a terrible user experience, which will make your long-term users go away. There *are* competitors out there, and you need to do a better job of keeping your current customers happy.

I used to use the queue to track what shows I've watched and ranked them by how much I liked them. By removing this feature you've forced me to switch to MyAnimeList for that feature and have made me a lot less tied to Crunchyroll. Granted, the way I was using it is probably not how a queue should be used, so I don't really have a problem losing this feature...

... but I'm pretty disappointed that the queue is what you guys are deciding to focus on. It was fine/functional as a queue. There are a ton of website usability issues that should have gotten priority over new features. A few examples:

1. When auto-playing videos in full screen, the next video doesn't start in full-screen mode. Every other streaming service I use has this feature.

2. Treating different languages as separate seasons of an anime is the easy way out (software development wise), but it's pretty bad UX. Once again, see every other streaming service for how to do this correctly.

3. "Private Messages temporarily disabled. Try again soon!" has been up for an extremely long time now. Dead features like that leave a really bad impression like the website is falling apart / getting abandoned. It'd be better to outright remove the link than pretend they're coming back "soon."

4. I still haven't received the Guest Pass I should have received 2 weeks ago, so that system seems to have broken or is backlogged. Again, not really that big a deal but leaves a really bad impression.

You finally commented on the queue fiasco? And this was 8 days ago? Huh, I guess I didn't notice because I am hardly around anymore.

Crunchyroll used to be my first stop for anime for the last ten years. Hit the front page, read the news, access my queue, enjoy anime.

Since the queue is useless for people like me who had 100 or so shows carefully organized, I've bookmarked the release calendar for quick access to simulcast shows, so I just ignore your front page and get my news at ANN, and I've also bookmarked the show pages for a few older titles I want to finish.

But I'm done as a subscriber until manual sorting comes back. I'm not going to bookmark dozens of shows and I'm not going to waste time scrolling and looking for a show in a jumbled mess of a queue. That I even considered that is a testament to how thoroughly you guys failed with this rollout.

Your user experience sucks and there are many, many streaming options out there now with markedly better UI.

You are also apparently an poorly run company, because why the hell would you roll out such a massive and incomplete change with no warning and a "fix it" timeline of apparently months, all while being coy about whether or not manual sorting will return?

Yeah, I have better ways to spend the $8 a month.
