Crunchyroll's development team takes forever with new updates so this could take 6 months to a year before we see anything. It's frustrating that you guys took away the feature before rolling out the new update. This half-step doesn't quite cut it. I would have waited until it was completely ready to go before taking away manual sort.

Yeah, we already knew you were in the process of updating it and will give us back the features we lost. The problem here is that we lost them in the first place and have no idea when your PAID SERVICE will be functional again. Any web developer getting paid should know not to remove necessary features for an extended period of time and only let their users have the unfinished beta version.

Restore the old version, work on your update at your own time and expense, not ours. You can easily do an opt-in beta, a/b testing, or some other user testing model that doesn't force your users to have a terrible experience. The fact that you are not doing this makes me feel that either your developers have never done proper testing, or they don't care because CR said it doesn't matter if the users suffer in the meantime.

Yep this is pretty much it. They took away a feature before giving us new ones. Boggles my mind.

CR's development team is a hot mess. The site has barely changed since I made an account and in some ways it's gotten worse, some better (like HTML5 video player, after asking forever for it). Not to mention their manga app is borderline unusable. Crashes all the time on iPhone 11 and barely worked on my iPhone 6.

It's been known for a while that CR's dev team has issues, but it's beyond ridiculous now.

As a paying subscriber, it's really frustrating and it feels like a lot of the time we are not being listened to.

thankyou for responding, I really do hope that there is some way to get my entire list back. The manual queue sort was tbh the main reason I started using crunchyroll. Being able to sort what you are watching how you want to sort it is very convenient and useful. Saddly, I did not create a backup list of what series I have watched and because of the sudden change, I have lost record of all the series I have seen, hope to see more of and can only somewhat see the series I am currently watching. If this change is permanent then please send me a list of the entire queue before erasing it from existence if you haven't already done so. Also, if it is really permanent please expand your API so I try to make my own queue list.

"to enhance the Crunchyroll queue experience"
what needed to be enhanced? we order the shows the way we want, scroll down and click the watch.

Two weeks since this post was made (longer since manual sorting was removed), still no word on an update.

Ah yes. Another problem that Crunchyroll can't be bothered to fix. Spambots showing up in the forums and every. single. new article. No site can 100% protect from spambots, but most at least TRY. I get maybe 4 or 5 spam messages on my Youtube channel per year. Crunchyroll gets dozens every day.

Hopefully this doesn't take as long as the html5 rollout. Or how private messages are still a nuked feature.

At the least for premium paying members, functions like "Skip Intro" would be amazing. When I am on Netflix, it is my absolute favourite function.

I used to use my PC browser to arrange my queue manually and use the result on the phone.
The PC browser experience does not have to be limited by what mobile is capable of. They each have their trade-offs due to hardware / screen size / input device constraints.

I look forward to the day when I can once again do more things on the computer, and watch in more places on my phone.

I really don't understand what this is all about. I liked being able to sort my list manually. I put my list in order of what day and timer it is played during the week. Now you say you are making some changes. I say don't fix what doesn't need fixing. It was perfectly fine the way it was. I do however like being able to mark my favorites.I do think that if you were planning to make changes it would have been nice to have gotten a heads up to when it was to take place rather than give an explanation after the fact.

I can't help but notice there was no explicit statement that you would return that feature after the other upgraded sorting functions are complete. Can we expect manual sort to still be an option?

But it doesn't help when the new update only shows part of my queue and not all of it.
