Male lead totally sounds like Legosi from BEASTARS, and lead girl is named Haru. Just sayin.

I'm getting a little Welcome to the N.H.K vibes from this, except more adult transitional problems other than being a NEET.

I absolutely adore Haru's design, her wavy hair, personality, the coat worn over the shoulder so the crow can perch up on there from time to time. Everything about her design is really attractive, not to mention cool with having a semi-crippled pet crow.

As far as episode 1 is concerned I feel this was a pretty nice introduction to what is going to be a laid back slice of life with a bit of drama and self reflection.

Loved that first episode and am quite eager to see this series continue. Not really much else to say except they pretty much nailed it.

One of the best premieres this season, and I almost didn't watch it.

The set up reminds me a tiny bit of "So I Shaved and Brought Home a High School Girl", with the guy getting friend zoned by a girl he has had a crush on for a long time, and then a High School aged girl hitting on him.

The college friend sure seems to like him as more than just a friend from the way she is kind of spying on him though.

I'm getting a tiny bit of a Honey and Clover vibe, with the dual unrequited love theme.

Episode 2

After focusing on Rikuo in the first episode, this one is all about Shinako. She wants to just be friends with Rikuo again like in high school, but Haru and Rou complicates things. And it turns out that Rou used to be next-door neighbors with Shinako and Shinako was in love with his big brother, but he died six years ago. Knowing that, they decide to distance themselves from each other. Poor Shinako had it rough for the last six years, and Rou as well since he had to deal with life without his mother and big brother. A time like this is when having friends is helpful, but are asking for trouble by doing this. The show just continues to drive up the drama and feels here as these characters are all so broken in some way.

Ep 1 & 2

Well, this show gets me, both eps hit too close to home and stings to a lvl close to NHK. My mind knows I should stop watching it not to feel hurt, but obviously thats not happening. Fantastic potential, hopefully it doesn't get me to start having watery eyes...more often.

Continuing to love this show, with how things are progressing naturally and forward, and how subtle things are presented on screen.

Props to the MC for growing some balls, and let's be honest - Rou has no chance.

Still loving this. Shinako looks really good with her hair cut. I like that the characters actually explain themselves to each other rather than mining misunderstandings for cheap drama or comedy.

The direction continues to impress, too. All the little hand movements and subtle facial expressions are really well executed.
