I hope he gets his eyes opened to that before too long. I dunno. Considering he has said over an over, that he isn't interested in her, he probably should be treating her worse. Acting kind to her every now and again, and hanging out with her is probably just bound to string her along. It's kind of like what Shinako is doing to Rikuo. I think Shinako realized it though and asked to end their friendship...although she isn't doing a good job of that. Rikuo as far as I can tell, hasn't shown any conscious or even subconscious affinity for Haru though. From the very first episode, Shinako seemed to be trying to bring Rikuo back into her life, monitor his interaction with other females, and in the most recent episode, outwardly show jealousy to him. I'm not sure why people are criticizing Rikuo for being passive. Sure it took him a few years to actually confess his love to Shinako, but when he did, she rejected him. I think if he pursued her any more actively at this point, it would be stalking. Then we would be calling him a creeper. His career is rudderless, but I've experienced that myself, and I bet a lot of people will in the coming years. I graduated University in a bad economy, and had a hard time finding work in my field of study. |

Or was that maybe more a reflection of his annoyance with Minato's supposed pretentiousness rather than jealousy over Haru...? And he does take the initiative to run over and try to make up with her at the end of ep.3 after accepting her offer for a date in the first place... Would have been really crappy of him to have been using her just to go see a movie. I think there's something there on his part—small, but there. And it's pretty clear after her reaction to Yuzuhara that Haru has some growing up to do also. You can tell I really want to ship them, lol. |

![]() You can deny it all you want but it still was (as was all the timing of the girls finding out how they did) ![]() I'm sure next episode we'll get Haru's ex sugar daddy or one of sensei's co-workers randomly showing up to provide more drama ![]() C'mon SYFM you can do better than that. And yeah I thought that was a pregnancy test on the cork board ![]() Also too bad Rikuo was too sick to realize instead of always being the nice guy, what a little "aggression" could have gotten him ![]() |

Episode 7
While childhood friends Shinako and Rou are falling for each other, Rikuo is not really interested in falling in love with anybody at the moment. Shinako is simply friendzoning Rikuo, all while he's beginning a job assignment at a photo studio, taking pictures at a weeding and developing the film. Rou just feels way too obligated to filling for Yuu that includes becoming a couple in his place, and that's starting to really creep Shinako out and that got her thinking that she's chasing after a dead person for too long. What a mess Shinako is in and while it's unfortunate what happened, she's not doing herself any favors. And with that, a new ending theme song featuring a classic arcade shooter featuring Haru and her pet raven. |

Glad it's back to the core members, but Rou...man, you need to give up.
"Come to my place?" SCORE...not. I want progress to happen but I'm conditioned to expect disappointment. Hmm 5 more eps to go. Enjoyed the classic shooter ending. |

Wow, that was an absolute ton of progress in a single episode. It didn't feel rushed in how it was presented but I certainly wasn't expecting this many big moments until basically the end of the season.
Really liking the ED. That Haru retro shmup was really cute but also pretty important. It seemed to imply that Haru maybe saw the interaction that ended the episode and the ominous cut on the Continue Yes/No prompt after she "died" in the game was genius. Especially after she talked up how unbreakable she was when they went out for dinner. |

3 seconds into the new ed song and I knew it was Sayuri. I love her voice.
Haru needs to be more aggressive. Shinako is not the best option for Rikuo. |
Thank you for everything Kaichou

The amount of effort poured into what could have been a little throwaway SOL anime is astonishing.
The detail in this expression, you can tell exactly how Shinako is feeling: ![]() The new ED is fire, too. |

Insert praise of the ED here.
This really is one of the bests this season, also every time Haru makes a cute noise, does something charming, or just exists on screen, I get so giddy. Continue Yes/No was the biggest oh shit of the year in my opinion, such a simple yet nuanced way to express the state of emotions. |

Finally people are getting aggressive and making moves, too bad Shinako has to spell it out for Rikuo, geez how is he going to blow this. And wow what a relevant ED. Maybe we finally get Haru's backstory.
