I wonder when are you going to understand that you ain't just an USA-based company, but a global scaled one with clients all-around the globe?

As long as you keep doing these "legal USA-resident-limited" sponsored promotions you won't be getting a single cent from me. And guess what? I'm not the only one who feels like not supporting a company who takes that kind of narrowminded and disgusting attitude.

Crunchyroll IS a USA-based company though, out of San Francisco, California. Therefore they have to follow California and USA legal law for their contests, which is why they are USA/North America based only. To offer contests in other countries they have to follow those countries individual contest rules, which can get messy.

Which specifies nothing about foreign limitations as long as it doesn't go against COPPA, DMPEA or FTC laws and includes a void where prohibited by law liability clause when dealing with online services or goods with a cost equal or under 5000$ total. Aug. 2019

Yes, federal and state laws affecting sweepstakes, contests, and promotions are complex and often contradictory when the laws of foreign countries and privacy concerns are thrown into the mix.

But truth is that they are not limiting their services to just people from San Francisco California, or even to legal citizens of the USA, and as long as that remains a fact. Any sweepstakes or the likes they make that excludes part of their customer base be it for laziness or complications is something that any decent publisher avoid as much as necessary, often providing alternatives.

Compare to BLM protests, they're excluding and limiting me for "not being a legal citizen of the USA" which is fine, that's law for you. I don't care about free stuff. I only want to be treated as any other customer.

That said, refraining from pulling sweepstakes, contests or promotions is better from any given perspective if they are not up to the challenge of being a company who operates beyond a single state or country.

They know, And its not that they don't want to. Its that they can't do shipping and exc that easy. So please see this and don't say such foul words. That is the last thing people need to see or hear about... I see people complaining like this, Similar to people complaining about an EXPO or Convention not being held in X, Y, or Z location for reasons. and complaining about it. And if people like you don't want to support a marvelous thing that Crunchyroll is striving to be, Then don't they don't "NEED" your money.
