blue man group performace

rods and cones

each of our eyes are made of millions of different tubes called rods & cones the rods in our eyes specialise in night vision that is why we can see in the dark but the cones cannot function in low light levels so that is why we can only see in black and white in the dark but the cones in our eyes fucnction in much higher light levels there are three primary colours in our cones that function to different individual colours

one that responds to the colour red
one that responds to the colour green
and one that responds to (naked people) the colour blue

the reason we can see diferent colours apart from these three is the result of all these colours fireing of in difffrent patterns scintest like to call this the hellwackshiznit that happens inside our brizzle"

i peed myself lauging of that

me and my friends were prank calling sex line once an my friend said in a weird voice

Ah keeping it to movies, some Donnie Darko quotes:

Gretchen: Donnie Darko? What the hell kind of name is that? It's like some sort of superhero or something
Donnie: What makes you think I'm not?

Karen Pommeroy: This famous linguist once said that of all the phrases in the English language, of all the endless combinations of words in all of history, that Cellar Door is the most beautiful.

Donnie: I made a new friend today.
Dr. Lilian Thurman: Real or imaginary?
Donnie: Imaginary.

GRETCHEN: You're weird.
DONNIE: Sorry.
GRETCHEN: No, that was a compliment.

DONNIE: How's it feel to have a wacko for a son?
ROSE DARKO: It feels wonderful.

Gretchen: ...what if you could go back in time, and take all those hours of pain and darkness and replace them with something better?

[Donnie tries to kiss Gretchen and she pulls away] Donnie: Well I-I, sorry I...
Gretchen: Donnie wait...
Donnie: I like you a lot...
Gretchen: I just want it to be... at a time when... it...
Donnie: When what?
Gretchen: When it reminds me just...
Donnie: When it reminds you of how beautiful the world can be?
Gretchen: Yeah...
[turns her head] Gretchen: and right now there's some fat guy over there staring at us.

Donnie: You are such a fuckass.
Elizabeth: Did you just call me a fuckass? You can go suck a fuck.
Donnie: Oh, please, tell me Elizabeth, how exactly does one suck a fuck?

Donnie: Life isn't that simple. I mean who cares if Ling Ling returns the wallet and keeps the money? It has nothing to do with either fear or love.
Kitty Farmer: Fear and love are the deepest of human emotions.
Donnie: Okay. But you're not listening to me. There are other things that need to be taken into account here. Like the whole spectrum of human emotion. You can't just lump everything into these two categories and then just deny everything else!

Karen Pommeroy: [to Principle Cole] I don't think that you have a clue what it's like to communicate with these kids. We are losing them to apathy... to this prescribed nonsense. They are slipping away.

Donnie: My parents didn't get me what I wanted for Christmas.
Dr. Lilian Thurman: What did you want?
Donnie: Hungry Hungry Hippos.
Dr. Lilian Thurman: And how did you feel, being denied these hungry, hungry hippos?
Donnie: Regret.

Donnie: [taking a cigarette] What will happen if you tell mom about this?
Samantha Darko: You'll put Ariel in the garbage disposal.
Donnie: Goddamn right I will.

DONNIE: Why do you wear that stupid bunny suit?
FRANK: Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?

Dr. Lilian Thurman: Donnie, an atheist is someone who denies altogether the existence of God. You're an agnostic. An agnostic is someone who believe that there can be no proof of the existence of God, but does not deny the possibility that God exists.

thats a good one from the show COUPLING:

I want to spend the rest of my life with the woman at the end of that table there, but that does not stop me wanting to see several thousand more naked bottoms before I die, because that's what being a bloke is. When man invented fire, he didn't say, "Hey, let's cook." He said, "Great, now we can see naked bottoms in the dark." As soon as Caxton invented the printing press, we were using it to make pictures of, hey, naked bottoms! We have turned the Internet into an enormous international database of naked bottoms. So you see, the story of male achievement through the ages, feeble though it may have been, has been the story of our struggle to get a better look at your bottoms..

Doc: Brush your teeth in a rapid, vertical motion. That's up and down for all you rebels.
( Hamburger Hill)

Mr. Pink: I'm very sorry the government taxes their tips, that's f**ked up. That ain't my fault. It would seem to me that waitresses are one of the many groups the government f**ks in the ass on a regular basis. Look, if you ask me to sign something that says the government shouldn't do that, I'll sign it, put it to a vote, I'll vote for it, but what I won't do is play ball. And as for this non-college bullshit I got two words for that: learn to f**kin' type, 'cause if you're expecting me to help out with the rent you're in for a big f**kin' surprise.

( Reservoir Dogs )

"He that fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster." Friedrich Nietzche

Quotes from Gandhi:
# A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes.

# As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world -- that is the myth of the atomic age -- as in being able to remake ourselves.

# Be the change you want to see in the world.

# God is conscience.

# Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

# A 'No' uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a 'Yes' merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble.

# A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave.

# A religion that takes no account of practical affairs and does not help to solve them is no religion.

# Adaptability is not imitation. It means power of resistance and assimilation.

# Anger and intolerance are the twin enemies of correct understanding.

# You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind.

# Culture of the mind must be subservient to the heart.

# Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

# Fear is not a disease of the body; fear kills the soul.

# The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems.

# Woman is the companion of man, gifted with equal mental capacities. She has the right to participate in the minutest details in the activities of man, and she has an equal right of freedom and liberty with him.

# The test of friendship is assistance in adversity, and that too, unconditional assistance. Co-operation which needs consideration is a commercial contract and not friendship. Conditional co-operation is like adulterated cement which does not bind.

# Non-cooperation is an attempt to awaken the masses, to a sense of their dignity and power. This can only be done by enabling them to realize that they need not fear brute force, if they would but know the soul within.

# Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

# It is easy enough to be friendly to one's friends. But to befriend the one who regards himself as your enemy is the quintessence of true religion. The other is mere business.

# Democracy is an impossible thing until the power is shared by all, but let not democracy degenerate into mobocracy.

# They cannot take away our self-respect if we do not give it to them.

# I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.

# Nonviolence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man.

# An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody will see it.

# Even as wisdom often comes from the mouths of babes, so does it often come from the mouths of old people. The golden rule is to test everything in the light of reason and experience, no matter from where it comes.

Hm, I didn't put this one up because it's kinda weird, but I like it enough to memorise it.
